I have 2 suggestions to lower the cost of living. 1). Reduce the rents of hawker stalls and HDB shops. 2). Reduce the salaries of ministers by 40%. Have a great holiday, everyone!

Why don't companies reduce the salaries of all unproductive singaporeans by 40% too? And why should taxpayers subsidise hawkers with bad food and HDB shops selling cigarettes and alcohol?

(1) There are some hawkers who gamed the bidding and secured ridiculously low rentals. They do “work-life balance” and open stalls only half the time. For those who pay lower than market rates, do they reduce their prices? I don’t see this happening. So how can this lower the cost of living? (2) Reduce salaries of minsters only? What about your own salary and pay your cleaners double? I’m assuming you are in mid-upper level management.😂

Do you think there are more and more PAP IBs/die-hard supporters try to sway public opinion, through stealthy means if necessary, favourably towards the PAP government? Singaporeans need to be wary that there are those who inhabit cyberspace, with or without false accounts, but definitely with false pretences of creating an image for the PAP and distract online users from participating in meaningful policy discussion.

The fact is the PAP has been the ruling political party in Singapore since the city-state became an independent nation in 1965, and so, no other political parties has the track record in running a nation. And if we use this reason to put PAP in power 'Forever', don't you think it is laughable? Are we like those communist states? Strong oppositions with strong candidates like Singapore Democratic Party(SDP), Workers' Party(WP), Red Dot United(RDU), and Progress Singapore Party(PSP) have great ideas and proposals that all our mainstream media will not share them with the public. Dear Singaporeans, please go read on their proposals in their respective official websites. As long the government continue to give handouts to lower income Singaporeans, they stand 50% chance to win the GE. If they remove this support, then the chance is below 50%. The only way for opposition to win is to offer much better cost of living package.

In richer economies, governments need to work out how to counter the conviction of many voters that their purchasing power, living standards and future prospects are in decline. While I do applause your, bo, views and questions throwing at PAP government, but the real issue of Singapore are not what you have mentioned , Mr. Chee. The real fundamental issue is how will Singapore ,such tiny island with only around 4 million people who are born and raised in this island state we all call home. Can the opposition party do better then the pap . Thus before we can find an alternative government, it's perhaps, we should think and consider carefully who do we vote for ,this coming GE election. I too am not satisfied with the PAP government. Especially post LKY . Ever since LHL too office, the civil service, the public service had all going southward. I urge all Singaporean, be very very careful with your vote.

Ah Chee ah, you not happy, kindly leave or go run your cafe. Or you could just glance over to Boleh land to see what sort of gov they have and how they are running their country. Don't keep on harping about history and past grievances of YOUR OWN. Chee SJ himself have an axe to grind with the past PAP leaders but he is bringing his own personal grievances to the present and future gen of voters. This shows the man is not only NOT willing to let go of his own grievance but has a agenda to stir dissatisfaction onto the present voters, who despite indicating to Chee TWICE IN BUKIT BATOK, they are not interested in his BRAND OF POLITICS. Unlike Low of WP who could well let go and live his own life in happy retirement, sad to say , Chee will forever hold onto a grudge with PAST PAP leaders and bringing this grudge onto present PAP leader lead by PM Lawrence Wong Many past PAP leaders had already passed on or are already retired and so it is also for the others who were opposition leaders. Let's move on with a new chapter and strive for a better life and make better progress for the country without all this nonsense, comes election time that the 'PAP is not good here, not good there' and opposition is better! But for Chee he is forever on this path of seeking his own personal vendetta with past and present PAP members, disguising this into his political agenda for a better Singapore. Psst...or rather a note of caution...don't end up like Chee in life, especially in Singapore. It does one NO favors ,despite his HIGH EDUCATION and nethier will any good come to one own kins and descendent or to have any benefit to them in their own lives.
