Cheerleader Stretching Flexibility Routine before Stunts, Cheer with Jennifer
Cheering is combination of dance, acrobatics, tumbling & stunt work. It's a dangerous sport in the extreme that requires a great deal of practice and being flexible. There is more to a cheer than girls in short skirts simply screaming at a pep rally. Jennifer was a teen age girl high school cheerleader. In these series of videos she will show people how to do some jumps, dance moves and amazing stunts involved in cheerleading. Additionally she will show you leg stretch routines which can be done as work outs to improve body flexibility so a person can safely do moves like the splits, high kicks and others. These are skills that are vital to succeeding as a cheerleader or dance team member so you won't fail. Whether you are in highschool cheering or not, these videos can be used as workouts.

Bow and arrow I am an all star cheerleader I know how to tumble all splits and jump and also dance and stunt and we compete with other teams it is more advanced then school cheering but thanks allot for your tips

I'm ready for jumps. I tried out for cheer last year and don't make it. I wasn't sharp enough but I'm ready for this years tryouts and I'm going for the gold!

Bow and Arrow and ..... I take dance and I almostttt (3 in) have my right split. Hope these stretches help me get my spilts! I'm also gonna start cheer leading next year. PS your really flexible and an amazinggggg cheerleader

I wish i was that flexible. I get lower back pain all the time for having short hamstrings and bad core muscles. I need to do this kind of stuff EVERY day :(

i find if you want to learn to do the splits do the lowest lunge u can do and keep stretching lower and lower everytime sooner or later u will b able to just straighten your leg infront of you

if you're a dancer you should already have excellent balance... if not then do ab work and work on your core because that's where a lot of your balance comes from in both dance and cheer.

Make sure u keep ur head and chest up in ur jumps... In ur backbend u wanna keep ur legs together and straight soon I'm going to make one but it's going to be more updated and inside :)

When youre doing straddle stretches, you should try to keep your thighs completely on the ground when you stretch to each side. Also you need to be square in your left/right splits too.

Just a tip when doing abresque don't pop your leg up your going to have serious back problems when your older of you do so. Gently glide your leg up until the height you want

Is it weird that I'm 14 do no exercise at all And I can do the scissor splits? I did stretching for about 5-10 minutes every two or three days and within 2-3 week I could do the splits and get my leg round my head.... I'm just curious as to if this was normal?

When your doing your herkey, make sure your back leg is up and higher, and make sure you point your toes! Not to be mean, im just giving you some tips :)))
