When the idea of a Frasier spinoff came up after Cheers went off the air, as much as I loved Frasier, I couldn’t imagine a show with just him. When it came on and they introduced his wacky family; I knew they made the right choice. He’s the character I most identify with and scenes like this from Cheers remind me why. They did an amazing job with these shows.

Well it an acceptable break from reality as a one person carrying another trying to also open a door would look very awkward, unless it fits into the plot specifically. An alternative is that can have one of the regular cast offer to the door for them. it also benefits the story that they can have the person entering provide a reaction shot. Or they can have the person carrying the other put the other person down briefly to open the door first. So if its true that what you say (it’s not something i paid much attention to this in the past when watching Cheers reruns), then I can understand why they do it this way, especially given how few viewers would even notice this.

@varianschirmer9375 5 жыл бұрын
That was a fast divorce... Frasier & Carla were the ones that nothing was changing for them in the final episodes. Woody won an election. Norm got a job. Cliff got a promotion. Rebecca got a husband (which Woody mentioned later didn't last.). Sam was off women for awhile... couldn't even watch an awards show. Frasier... wasn't hinting at anything. Suddenly, he's divorced... fleeing his Boston practice for a radio show 3 time zones away... The separation & divorce practically must have started a week after the series ended...

Lilith always reminds me of a girl I dated for a while, years back. She had the same strict combed back hair, and business suit style. I think she went out with me because she was looking for a bit of rough, because as soon as the door was closed, she was a hair-down hellcat.

That was the whole joke of it. They'd pin her hair back and put her in those ridiculously conservative outfits and she'd give off a certain impression because she's a great actor, and then down comes the hair and it all goes in a different direction and zowie, she's a total babe.
