When Waymo encountered the blocked alley, I presume that it sent out an SOS, and Driver Assist jumped right in and told it to turn around - which it knows how to do.

@@DerekDavis213 um it is the future the technology is just not 100% perfect yet lol. Waymo is literally like the first driverless car and the first that's also already training on the highway. I mean even Tesla isn't perfect yet give the technology time.

@@pennytrui1149 Who says its the future? Most Americans are not asking for self driving, and they don't trust self driving. You said 'give this technology time'. FSD has been in beta for almost *four* *years* , and the latest version is still making all kinds of mistakes, every day. FSD is a clumsy Level 2 assistant, and its not to be trusted.

Why do you need a stop sign for a crosswalk? A yield (to pedestrians) would be fine - it makes no sense to stop when there is nobody there.

19:45 Why can't the doors close themselves lol. All the taxis in Japan open/close the doors themselves, so having to open/close a taxi door is such a culture shock (I have definitely accidentally walked away without closing a taxi door before in korea, poor driver)

Eh, it executed the 3 point turn once given the greenlight. Tesla can't even reverse so I think you'd have to disengage in that scenario.

@@Starshipsmmtesla can’t do reverse for 3 point turns but they can reverse park secondly waymo is only one specific area that people selected other then Tesla who can drive most places and is controlled with a constant learning of ai from human drivers on the road

Nah I have seen FSD over-yielding plenty of times while driving around SF. It’s not related to whether the architecture is end to end.

There is a brand new FSD 12.3.4 video, more than an hour long, of driving in San Francisco. FSD had MANY problems there.

@@thewatcher5822 There is no reason to think that Tesla is close to solving anything. FSD has been in beta testing for almost 4 years. FSD v12 has been thru many point releases over the last 90 days. But still many problems, on any challenging drive.
