So much like the Death Shephards in Act 2, this is a bugged fight, and a sign of a recurring problem for the worst fights in this game. Not as a turn-based reaction, but a general reaction at all, he's able to spam Elemental Retort regardless of turn order, and it is procced on almost everything, often inconsistently. The effects of this is 3d12 damage of 4 different element types, meaning a max of 12d12 damage. To put this in perspective, an Ancient Red Dragon (rated as a tough fight for a level 20 party) deals 26d6, almost the same amount of damage. *It cannot spam this.* Oh, and it can bypass Silence, Shocking Touch, and other spell-disabling abilities because it isn't a spell, much like Nightsong's abilities. They're hopefully gonna patch this out so it's what it originally was *supposed* to be, unique reaction spell that does random element 3d12 damage. While difficult, it IS appropriate for a difficult boss. They do know that they messed up with this, as some of the recent patches do address how weird this boss fight is, albeit by trying to make him immune to pushes, throws, and telekinesis at one point (which seems to have been undone)

Why your myrmidons have ony 130 hp? Mine have over 200 and I play on explorer difficulty. Help.

Switch your difficulty level before the battle. I changed from Explorer to Balanced and it made their hp drop to 130.

Better is to use smokepowder arrows, you can knock him and others . They will be half hp and will take them 3 rounds to get to top. Better way.

I'm not even really having trouble beating him, his myrmidons will almost down my casters but they have enough health to make it to the next round and get some heals. My problem is that Nightsong actually doesn't interact with the fight at all and after the fight is completely unresponsive, and Rolan keeps talking like Lorroakan isnt lying in a heap 5 ft away from him. He says stuff like "he'll want to know if you have information about the Nightsong" like he's still alive. So I'm literally not able to complete the quest rn.

Every time I start this fight one of my guys gets a turn, then all the elementals get a turn, one casts raging vortex that causes huge damage apparently every 3 seconds to only Karlach. It doesn't tick a certain amount every turn, its every 3 seconds or so during everyones turn, to only her, and shes dead before she gets 1 turn lol Gale is usually next

I guess my party of meathead physical dps with high initiative saved me a lot of trouble. He pretty much got stomped into the carpet on turn one before any return dmg could be done.

I had no clue this fight was hard, I just used hold person - he can’t use reactions to cast his damage, and he just died in ~3 hits.

I can’t beat the elemental guys, they all have around 250 health, I don’t understand how in this video they only have like 120

Lorroakan is nothing, I two critical-ed him with my level 8 fighter in one turn, it’s the fucking Myrmidons, they each have 200 plus health (don’t know why yours is so low) and each hit like a train, they had first hand from my run and killed Aylin in 2 turns

What are the weaknesses of each elemental? BG3 wiki does not have quick summary for them.

First try, I won the fight by using Insect Swarm. Aylin always dies quick and comes back to life when you win. She popped up in the insect cloud and started attacking me. The game said something stupid like that's what I get for attacking her. Try # 2, I knock an enemy off the floor to one that's two floors below with a spell. Then I win the fight and try to get my characters down to him to end the fight. I can't get to him, he can't get to me. I have to reload the past save and try again. Try # 3, this time I'm careful not to use spells that knock anyone down a floor. But I accidentally use an attack that does knock one down. But he's only one floor down. I figure I can still win the fight, then jump down to him. Then he proceeds to fly down to the floor where we can't reach each other. I'm now going to do attempt # 4. I keep winning the fight and the game cheats.

I hit him with a scroll of Disintegration and he was powder before the fight began. Didn’t realize this was supposed to be a hard fight.

I pushed him off the level to the second floor with laezel then used that throne of death (or whatever its called) scroll on him while he was prone on the floor

I play on light mode but his elementals have 200+hp at my play. Really don’t know why but I’ll assume I have to level up to 12 before doing this fight 🙈😅

My Bard rolled high initiative, so I hit him with paralyzing poison. Astarion then ran up and stabbed him three times.

I used Soul Breaker with Karlach to stun him. After that, it was just a matter of hitting him with two Eldritch Blast casts.

At least in Balanced difficulty, I just sacrificed Lae'zel for this fight. Have her disarm Lorroakan, then hit him with a few more attacks until she died (I think she got 3 attacks in), that dropped him to maybe 40% hp. Then I just have Karlach carrying Victoria's corpse chasing him down (that does around 10hp life drain damage every turn).

my crucial strat wuz a swap Wyll for Gale .. Gale wuz able to hit Lorroakan wit 2 clutch counterspells to negate damage allowing my characters to heal enuff to take out his elemental squad Dissonant Whispers to frighten also came thru

You could also just speck astarion into a ranger rogue, fire one silence arrow at him and KO him first turn no problem without all this setup.

The the Dame Ayline is useless. When I betrayed her she conjured 4 clones/warriors who actually dealt alot of damages.

I got a necklace on my Assassin that can paralyze the target of a critical hit for 2 turns. So the Mage did not last very long.

This boss causes me murderous rage. Building a boss that can only be beaten with cheese should be punishable by disembowlment. I enjoy lots of of this game but bullshit mechanics like this add nothing to the game and detract immeasurably

This is the most annoying fight in the entire game so far. Lorroakan himself isn’t too difficult but his elemental minions are unreasonably OP. Dame is useless in this fight and literally starts the fight with half of her health gone. This game is awesome but screw this entire mission.
