I used the flask holding the spectator and used that as a distraction. Than I easily dispatched the elementals and used poly on one. The trick is to eliminate his elementals first and I would use counterspell to keep the wizard silent. Than when everyone was dead, Karlach spanked the spectator in one turn.

On my first playthrough I didn't even know that I was supposed to bring aylin for the fight. I just didn't like him for being mean to rolan so I pushed him off and eagle dived his face.

The fight against Lorroakan is tough as heck. You fight him, (4) 100+hp elementals, a guard and his page. His magic is nasty and he has a massive mirror damage. No prep if you’ve told the Angel about him. Be prepared to throw everything.

I used Drow poison on him and he slept for a good while as I killed his stupid elementals. The wind one was the most annoying and they tried to target Gale the whole time like assholes but after Aylin and Astarion murdered Lorroakan and I got the wind elemental out, it was pretty easy. Annoying because of the amount of hp, but easy after those two were gone.

I betrayed Nightsong in my first playthrough. It lined up perfectly since I was playing as the Dark Urge and I chose the ending where I take the throne and control all being alone. It makes for a really great story because the threats she made she will now really have to do, she will become the protagonist and I the antagonist. It’s the Thorne and Nightsong story all over again, except I am much more powerful that even the gods fear me, Nightsong stands no chance and I will soon make her my little bird in a cage, much like the little pixie I had with me before I ate her.

If you kill Isobel after clearing moonrise towers, you can use dominate person to pull the night song out of combat and give her 750 gold and she'll act like nothing happened. This does bug at this part though as if you side with the wizard, everyone fights each other in a free for all, even your own party members.

Helping Aylin is better. You get her, isobel, and the tower (assuming Rolan works there, he should) in the final battle. Trapping Aylin just makes it so only the tower is there.

Wait, some wet wizard can make himself immortal just like that in an "Ascension" with no side effects (well maybe pissing off Selune, but the gods seem not to give a damn)? but Astarion gets the shitty kind of immortality with all the vampire spawn side effects and we can't even fulfill our promise that we'd help him find a way to replicate the Netherese magic on the tadpole for afterwards when the tadpoles are gone, so he may at least walk in the sun and swim in rivers? And the only way to solve Astarion's problem is to let him become the Vampire Ascendand, which taints his soul with vile magic and turns him into a possessive lover and power-obsessed Cazador 2.0 even if we already helped him face his fears? None of the "good" gods we did the dirty work for have some mercy to help him and maybe grant a little True Resurrection as thanks so he won't have to suck blood anymore? Hello, Mystra? How about using the Crown of Karsus we handed to you to replicate that bit of the Crown's magic that was on the tadpoles? No? Screw you then, let's raze your temples.

I agree, Astarion deserves so much better if you do his good ending, the fact that you CAN promise him multiple times you’ll find a way to help him walk in the sun again then never get to do it in game is so mean! if you don’t do his romance all he gets is Minsc cracking a joke about it and him going back into hiding in the shadows alone, it really sucks. (same goes for Karlach’s ending, but at least she gets to be with Wyll)

Well I'm stuck with this quest, because it bugged out on me hard. First after her confronting Lorrokan in the tower and the fught starts, she just stands there doing nothing and all the enemies ignire her. When I killed him and his minions, game just took it that she's dead, that I killed her according to the journal. When I tried it again after a while, she doesn't even appear in the fight, but with same result - the game thinking she's dead. Only this time I found her back in camp, but i can't interact with her since she's "dead"😅

In my current playthrough, I lied to Jaheria and gained her confidence by snitching on Marcus and exposing him, because I planned to double cross them at Moonrise towers. Then after gaining Jaheira's trust, I met Isobel, betrayed and killed her. Once the protection veil was broken and all of the harpers were turned into undead. I lied to Jaheria and convinced her it wasn't me. We proceeded to kill all the newly made undead harpers side by side. After everyone was dead, I confessed to Jaheria I betrayed her, her friends / loved ones, Isobel, Marcus, everyone. Then I killed her too. Then once we got to Dame Aylin where Balthazar had her imprisoned. I killed him and freed Aylin. Lying to her about Isobel and everything else, of course. She now resides at my camp thinking that we're allies because I am killing all of her would-be enemies. Once I betray her and help Lorroakan defeat her. I plan on sustaining myself on that pure hatred that she gives you when you speak to her in her new cage. God I love playing an evil Dark Urge! >8)

The dnd supplement Minsc & Boo's Journal of Villainy says that Lorroakan IS Edwin so I have to assume this Lorroakan is either a clone or a simulacrum that just doesn't look like him. That would explain why he's only fuckin level 8 at least. Archmage my ass

There was no reason at all to include him in the game if not for an Edwin reference. Perhaps he could’ve joined ur camp if u kill the aasimar in their original plan. It’s okay nonetheless if not for the lack of interaction with Jaheira or Minsc (also as a Harper and previous fellow adventure a there’s no way Jaheira doesn’t know about Lorroakan’s identity, but this speculation).

You can't, if you get him down to 0 HP he just goes into saving throw state, you can't hit him, then on his turn he passes his save immediately without doing a roll, same thing happens if you attack Aylin in camp.

I liked Balthasar as a villain, he was powerful, and always felt in control, no outbursts of weak emotions. it is quite disappointing to find another wizard, trying to do exactly the same thing as him, except with far less capability and character. I dont see why on earth they added this pathetic wizard to the game. It just detracts from Nightsong. Frankly Isobel and Nightsong should've left by end of Act2, instead they have to stay in camp saying literally nothing just to have this moment.

it's to give players a third chance for slayer form i think. if you try to kill isobel after saving nightsong then you just fight her forever in your camp since she's immortal. by doing this quest and siding with lorrokan you get her outta the way so you can isobel.
