500g chicken mince
30g parmesan
2 cloves garlic
275g cream
225g cheddar cheese
60g almond flour
1 egg
salt & pepper to taste
50g Oliver oil
50g butter

Thank you Lucy, we are on our holiday now and it’s raining and very cold. We are expecting a polar blast apparently. Hot soup and crusty hot bread on the menu. We are hunkered down for a couple of days until it passes over. Walked into a forest today to view a pretty waterfall, saw some trout swimming in this crystal clear mountain stream, very pretty. Your breath made fog in the morning air. We’ve been having hot bowls of one pot meals and cradling the bowls for warmth. Thanks for your lovely comments and for watching.;-))

Thank you Lucy, fresh fish and oysters so far, crisp juicy apples, figs and pears from roadside stalls and world famous Tasmanian honey , we even tasted some boutique brewery stout and beer. Not bad for our first 4 days touring. Campfire last night to reflect and plan today’s activities. We’ve had a few historic walks and even visited a monkey enclosure in the city. Life is wonderful.;-))

Thank you Lucy the best part is we have been able to bring our two little dogs to enjoy the holiday with us. Usually they have stayed behind with family, although they are safe and well cared for, we miss them and they miss us terribly. Now they are enjoying the walks in pretty parks and beaches, the car is warm, dry and comfy. At night there are possums and little wallabies to marvel at in the torchlight. The sound of the rain on the roof at night is soothing and even the wind has its own melody. I very thing is fresh and green. The fields are filled with happy contented sheep and cattle, 🦙 Llamas and geese, ducks and native birds, the state is a veritable Food Bowl. Lots of antique shops and old stone buildings. It’s very pretty and not crowded at all. I wonder what today will bring?

@@CheekysKitchen we are starting to get a bit of pre winter temp and rain finally, its been dryer than a nuns nasty... we've had about 14 ml, better than nothing, better not rain on Thursdy, I'm a fair weather golfer lol. Tassie Yabbie, haha, we nearly caught a Tassie Lizard(flathead), we was too Wylie for us. Lol. Heavy rain and wind here in Scottsdale north of Launceston. Richo brought a giant leech home on his leg. It dropped off in the car and he proceeded to bleed for ages. We are parked in about 30 mm of icy rain water at the moment. The morning walk is definitely going to be sploshy. Gonna pack a salt shaker to fend off the slugs lol. Finger crossed for Thursday for you, this Polar blast is supposed to be a memory by then.🤞🏻🙏🏻 . I got a Birdy once and my late husband got a hole in one once at a tournament and won a trip to the Gold Coast. I am not very good at golf but I do enjoy the walk in lovely scenery. We have lots of layers of leathers and feathers, wools and thermals, we start out like the michellin man and and carrying half a wardrobe by the end of the walk. We also have diesel heater that I call the ‘Smelter’ Imagine a 30kw aircon in a room a bit bigger than a toilet, toasty crispy lol🥵 I’m gonna find a pressure cooker on marketplace. I’ve been powering through a gas canister each day. Is it me or are they only half filled these days? Only one camp fire so far because of the rain, dry wood will be the next challenge.

Hey John, the French Onion Soup powder generally contains some sugar, which would alter its Ketogenic compliance. To be sure make sure to read the label in the packet. I think you would be surprised at the flavour of this meal just as it is. Looking for a little more spice? Serve with hot chilli sauce or Worcestershire sauce, again check the labels for sweetener. Yes our holiday is going smoothly, we are hunkered down in a valley to weather out some particularly bad weather. We have lots of warm clothes, footwear and a diesel heater to help. Warm in the car of course and a couple of little canine ‘heat packs’🐹🐶 for added comfort lol. Richo caught some King George whiting fish and oyster the first day, the Oyster Omelette video is coming soon. Looking forward to showcasing some great Tassie produce and a some fabulous camping kit and gadgets too. Cant wait to bring you some more of our travels and travel food too. Doing my excel uses and ready to sleep. I got. a new phone and managed a 4 way FaceTime chat with my nearest and dearest. Just a quick update Lorraine. Made a bit more progress today. Two of all’s and a sit in a chair for a few hours. Lots of pipes, tubes and drains removed today. Still got these pump up leggings on and I’ve been warned that tomorrow is going to be tough. Tomorrow I’ll be halfway through my holiday and then the real work of getting back to normal will begin. I have some fun recipes I’ve been working on. I’ll do a few trial runs b fore I share them but I think you and Mr Cray will appreciate them. We have some bananas almost ready to harvest at home and I already have them earmarked for a fun invention I’m cooking in my head. Have a great Sunday and I’ll keep you posted on my progress. @@CheekysKitchen Two walks of the hallway that’s great, a little more progress is far better than none, every little bit helps & I’m sure sitting up is much better than laying down (I would think so anyway) it’s absolutely fantastic when you get detached from all those wires ect tomorrow will make showering so much easier, I can remember when my gadgets were removed it was freedom. Oh I did not like those pressure stockings at all but best to have them than blood clots ect. My Doctor has photos of my new hip on his phone., the X-ray people send them direct to him. So at least I’ll have some black and white happy snaps of my staycation.
