I don't remember where i saw a video but someone recorded a cheetah chasing a gazelle and that male cheetah reached 100km/h in 2.9 seconds and a total of 119km/h at full speed. Can you imagine that animal charging you ?

As fast as the cheetah is, one would still have a hell of a time catching a North American Pronghorn. The speed goat can turn on the sprint like the cheetah, then throttle back and keep going around half speed for another 20 miles. After the sprint the cheetah is done.
