actually, not hating on Sonika, but she is the most low quality vocaloid out there. It's just that Circus-P is a god when it comes to making vocaloids sing in english

Megurine Ziam actually Sonika would be the best because she can sing in all languages, but due to poor quality recording she's not as good. I'm pretty sure that's what happened :)

XD Seriously, Matt (if I may call you that), you are the only producer that I've seen that uses Sonika right (no offense to any other producers reading this and use Sonika). I used to hate her with a passion; now she's in my favorites list. Plus I can understand this without looking at the lyrics AT ALL! It's almost completely fluent! @jjfarmer16 In the long notes, and the cut off notes, the 'fe' syllable doesn't sound right. It's meant to sound spliced at that point. When she sings it normally you can hear the 'fe' perfectly well.

Well I think her voice provider is Japanese but they made her pronounce English sounds, but since Circus-P (matt9five/VocaCircus/Cheezitsareyummy) tunes his vocaloids to have the same accent as him, maybe that's why it sounds so Scottish to you.

Vocaloid 3 is a lot smoother. I'm not sure why, because I don't have Vocaloid, but it might be because the Vocaloid 3 engine adds triphones, and that makes a Vocaloid sound really smooth.

I think Sonika just has more recorded phonemes than say Sweet Ann or Miriam. I've been testing Sonika since I got her, and she does have some extra phomenes like the rolling R. But Zero-G actually stated that Sonika can recreate different languages with work.
