Aussie Rock at it's best! Australian Muso's are quick to sign up to disaster relief concerts. Some of the best performances have been in the name of charity.

Hunters and collectors should have been huge around the world. They have so much great music

One of Hunters and Collectors big fans is Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam to the point they have covered H&G's songs and he has shared the stage with them in Australia and sung along with Mark.

I was one of those 80,000 at the MCG. Flew over from Perth. Saw Hunters also at Metropolis Fremantle in the early 90's and wow, did those horns pack a punch in a smaller venue. Memorable stuff.

They've been a great Aussie band from the start. Can I suggest that you react to their very first video called "Talking To A Stranger". It's 1982. at the beginning of when Music videos were becoming popular. Usually of the performers playing their song. But this one is an important work of art. You will also note that that bass tone & the horns have been a part of their DNA right from the start. You will be impressed, if you have a listen to the whole debut album.

absolutely .. that bass is unmistakable and in a good room with a good PA it would rattle your fillings out :)

I remember seeing Hunters & Collectors at a local Bar in Melbourne back in the 80’s, this takes me back, they were amazing ❤

The first time we saw the Hunters was waaay back in the day. The were supporting Ian Dury and the Blockheads. Among some unusual instruments they played were gas bottles as part of the percussion. Brilliant!

I hate that you may not get massive views on this. The Hunters are legendary in Aus, but sadly not that well known anywhere else. I loved this performance, it was passionate and different, both songs were done very differently to the original versions, but just as awesome. Holy Grail, might be their biggest hit, or Throw Your Arms Around Me, I'm not sure, but they actually have way better songs than either of those. They have a very unique sound. Thanks for this, loved it. ❤

Australia has produced such amazing bands over the years and we’re all so proud of them… Hunters and Collectors, Grinspoon, Powderfinger, The Vines, The Superjesus, Icehouse, John Farnham, I could go on and on… worth a reaction all of them… heads up, you might have to spend a couple of years… 😎

There were so many great Australian bands and as a live act you had to go a fair way to find anyone better than Hunters. Saw them a few times in my youth including a particularly fine night at The Old Lion in Adelaide. Still sticks in my mind as one of the best live gigs I've been to. Fun fact Mark Seymour is the older brother of Nick (bassist with Crowded House).
