I was sexually assaulted by my brother for about 10 years and my mom had a identical response as Cece's mom. It killed me. I hate to say it but its the same for me, but it was not only my brother but also my uncle's adopted son. My mother stood by my brother, and threatened me with foster care, a place she chalked up to be the most scary place ever, convincing me that I would basically die if I were to go, if I didn't lie to police and say that what I said was all a lie. Even to this day several years later, almost in my 30's, thanks to her manipulation, I still second guess myself on if I deserved what happened to me. Was the SA just a lie I made up, like my mother essentially hammered in? I know that it isn't, but some nights I can't used logic to convince myself otherwise. It's even worse that when it was my uncle's adopted son, she was all over that, defending me like a mother should, raging like a momma bear, ready to kill him for what he did to me. But no, when it came to her son, I her youngest daughter who she claimed to love so dearly meant less to her. Having such a comparison is so utterly disorienting. It kills me that as much as I love my mother, I can't stand being around her cause of the reminder and the visceral nausea of hearing her casually saying I remembered wrong, saying in "Great" detail that it was your uncle's son who did those things, reminding me of "exactly" what "he" did over what my brother "didn't" do, convincing me my memory was wrong, or at least trying to. The worst part about all that is, right now, she is in the hospital dying, and I physically and emotionally can't be there. I feel so bad for Cece but I also feel relieved she didn't have to hear that, for it may have been the final nail in her coffin even before her body were to lay inside it.

Not only SA, not only murder, not only cutting a victim down into pieces but also even possible cannibalism. Yet the mom forgave her son and even stood by him knowing all of these horrible horrible things that he'd done were not to any stranger, but his own sister, her own daughter. I’m not surprised at all by the mom’s reaction because we had a similar thing that happened at my hometown. This kid sexually assaulted his cousin for years and his mom’s first reaction was to beg for charges to be dropped because it’d ruin his chance to get into a good college if he was a sex offender. It got even worse where he not only continued but got more violent and his mom was still protecting him. Kept making excuses that since he was in special education he didn’t know better and shouldn’t be held responsible. One day her son took a weapon (I think it was either a hammer or pliers), assaulted her, then killed her on camera. I don’t believe that anyone deserves that fate, but by protecting and enabling him she made a ticking time bomb. Absolute nightmare. It’s been a decade and it’s still a taboo topic to bring up.

Some people are really twisted and psychotic and will do the unthinkable for money and greed. I feel like if it was another perpetrator that killed her daughter there would have been a lot of hatred & rage and she would have asked for maximum punishment but her son is where she draws the line. I can’t imagine how a brother could do this to his SISTER. Most people are raised to have such strong bonds with their siblings, and it’s so heartbreaking to hear that someone would do the most heinous things to their own sister just for money.
@gypsydonovan Жыл бұрын
They weren’t really raised. You throw kids of similar age together without supervision & sexual abuse, or at least inappropriate exploration between siblings, becomes likely. But that’s normally a phase in neglected households, as children are forced to figure out puberty on their own. 14 years isn’t a phase. I doubt he saw her as a sister in the way most of us think of sibling bonds. She was just someone he had power over & could abuse, Partially because he wasn’t taught otherwise. I wonder if the mom’s forgiveness is out of guilt. She failed all her children. A lot of that was out of her control but she knows where she could have been better. Her daughter is gone, and while most of us would want to make amends to those who’ve suffered most from our mistakes, she might just be focusing on what’s left. I’d really like to hear from the other four siblings.

From what I understand... it wasn't her boyfriend... She and her friend were sleeping with men for money. It was her sugar daddy and it been going on for years... She was only 17 when she was killed which mean she and her friend were having sex with grown men at a VERY YOUNG age.

How can he be a good man and have a sexual relationship with his biological sister? And the brutal killing of his sister? I am not a mother but I disagree with this mother's decision! I'd have asked the judge to send him to the death penalty ASAP. This case made me sick to my stomach 😫 this is beyond horrible 😢😢😢good God!

Reminds me of Chris Watts' parents who defended him. There is speculation on the mother especially potentially being a narcissist herself. Interesting case and I feel so bad for CeCe... It sounds as though they don't even know how he killed her because her remains were gone. Life Insurance seems to be a common theme across many true crime stories. So sad...

What's scary about this, is that it seems it wouldn't have been solved if the brother hadn't left the head in the temple. He'd disposed of the body, the neighbors didn't pay attention to the disposal or her disappearance...He just forgot to create a plausible reason for her death. I'm disappointed in the wife for not saying anything. She could've taken a photo and alerted police once she was back in the mainland. She chose to stay silent. Also, I agree with MMB - it feels like the mother put more importance on her son's life than her daughter's. That statement of "he's never done anything wrong"...except torture his sister for over a decade. How does she just overlook that? Some people really don't deserve to be parents.
@annabethsmith29303 Жыл бұрын
I understand the wife’s reaction though, she was scared that the same thing would happen to her (and/or her family), and it must be very disturbing to see smth like that. Yes from our POV of course we think that she should’ve done that (and it’s crazy how if he didn’t put her head in the bathroom for his fucking life insurance the case probably wouldn’t have existed 😐 or he would’ve taken way way longer to get caught) but if we were in this situation we would probably be scared shitless and try to run away like she did too instead of reporting it to the police
@Annie640 Жыл бұрын
@@annabethsmith29303 I disagree. I currently live in a country as a foreigner, where foreigners have little to no rights as compared to citizens. Nevertheless, I would still immediately go to the police. From my POV, it's far more likely this person would harm me AND get away with it if I stay silent. At least if I report it, I can deter one of those outcomes.
@Masondoesstuff6189 ай бұрын
Yeah and when she said that nobody knows what he did to Cece's body I immediately thought "what if he had cut her up and turned her body into food and fed her to the wife or something?" because it is a possibility if he had never wanted the wife to be in the kitchen when he was cooking

The level of planning he had for every aspect of what happened. Think about it, from him pretending to be a caring brother for her sister in front of his family and how he deceived everyone who could have reported him to the police: the neighbors, her own mother, the police, the new wife, the wife’s family… and all this for a M.O based on social insurance policies??? That guy thought and did everything and it was all for money? I believe he was sick and a very perverse and depraved condition but he understood what he had to go for 14 years. This guy knew how the world around him worked. He had clarity and used it for depravity. I feel for the victim, she needed help and she deserved better.

One of my close friends has lived with, and taken care of her mother for over 15 years, while her brothers only drop by occasionally (every 2nd Sunday for a few hours?) to spend time with their mother. Even though my friend does everything for her mother, her mother always sides with her brothers, so if anything like this case happened; I know where the mother would stand.

No please, I fell asleep one time while listening to a true crime and dream about it. It's even more scary because I'm not the murderer. You know, if I am the murderer, I can atleast calm myself down knowing I won't and can't do that to others in real life once I woke up. but the anxiety you get after being R-worded and brutally murdered felt so real that when I woke up, I question myself, if am actually still alive. I cried after realising it's just a dream. But the crazy thing is that my chest is aching on the part where I was hit with a kitchen knife so it's really traumatising. It was 2 years ago and I get over it. Thankfully. But will never want to experience that ever again.

It's unbelievably sad how the odds are so stacked against some people. She wasn't born into the best circumstance. Things seemed to get better when she married and had a kid but that was shortlived. Then trauma and/or mental health issues caught up with her (the brother probably exaserbated her issues as well). Which caused her to fall into the sad cycle of dr*g abuse & pr*stitution. And finally, she was brutally murdered. If an afterlife or reincarnation exists, I hope it is much kinder to her.
