It's funny how every time someone speaks of people im the ocean, there's always "THE SHARKS ARE WAITING!" When in reality, it's highly unlikely to be attacked by them. We're not on their natural menu and usually shark attacks occure due to territorialism, curiosity or by accident (thinking we're a seal for example), that's why they usually take a chomp and go away, because when they bite they realize we're not what they want to eat. It's estimated that globally on average there are 63 unprovoked shark attacks A YEAR. Globally. And out of that it's estimated average 5-10 deaths, because even a chomp-n-go is dangerous depending where have you been bitten and how far from shore you are. But the intention there isn't to eat a human. Sharks are beautiful and very important creatures, yet so misunderstood (I think most marine biologists blame Jaws for that). There's literally less death caused by them annually than deaths caused by a falling coconut (I'm not joking, its like 150 every year or sth like that)...

My father very recently passed, he was in the hospital for 2 weeks. He was only kept alive by machines and we had no idea if he would come out of it or what state he would be in but it was likely that his quality of life would be horrible. As youre debating that awful decision you must make for someone else, you feel a sense of urgency because the longer they stay in the hospital the more the bills are. Its a horrible feeling on top of the grief to be gouged at every turn
