All I was saying is let's just enjoy this bit before we go back to strangling each other. I assume you and I share similar view points when it comes to politics. That way of pouring cider in Asturias is called "escanciar". Seems like something you'd do just for show, but there's a reason behind it. When the cider hits the glass it causes it to really fizz up, which unlocks its flavours. Waiters in Northern Spain are really skilled at not letting a single drop go to waste.

I love that man. There are different kind of chefs of course but the ones like chef Andres who are just so passionate about food and want to share it with the world. They're endlessly fascinating to watch. I nearly became a chef at one point just because they make it look so fun. It's not. It's incredibly hard. Which just makes it all the more amazing when they rise to the top.

I lived in Maine for a decade - a few miles from a canning factory that processed urchins for the Japanese market - and on the right day, boyyyyyyyy you can't smell anything BUT the gonads.

Respect Sir Andres...I was born of immigrants (Indian) in the Uk and fought racism, lived in Spain 5 years as immigrant and finally 16 years in germany.... I never lost my British accent but could communicate ..... again Respect Sir. USA is made of people like you as the UK.

World Central Kitchen rocks, I went to drop off my ballot in Chicago, cold rainy day. Found the drop off in an old Walgreens . They told me I was at the right location, offered me food. Actually only wanted to drop my ballot off, because of issues with USPS. When I left the (world Central Kitchen) gave me a corned beef sandwich and water. I at first declined when going in, accepted when I left. Gave this food to a young man asking for food on my way back to work. Told him where I got it. He told me last Monday he voted that day. Thank you world Central Kitchen.

When he said “gra-ham” crackers I knew he was talking about graham crackers because I live near Graham Avenue in New York City and the Puerto Ricans pronounce it the same way. But I laughed because he asked Steven if he had “Covid”. 😂

I also wanted to point out that he helped a lot of people in New York City during the pandemic back in March and April when the military was deployed to the Javits Center. We got free meals And then the free meals stopped because of some political reasons. This is a good guy he does more for America than you think. The world central kitchen food was amazing!

The cider thing is a lot of fun, I was around that area of Spain at the tail end of a cider festival once. It's exactly as big a mess as it looks.

I never thought I would see Stephen Colbert escanciando. It made my day xD. (By the way, the Asturian cider is poured that way because it is not naturally sparkly, 'escanciar' is the traditional -and believe it or not- most effective way to get the sparkly effect and bring forth its desired flavours).
