I watched Bobby Skullface's review of the Generation Toy Leader Set this is knocked-off from. Saw the trouble he had with the front wheelwell pieces popping off. Came back to your review to check, and this one has those parts pinned in instead of being on c-clips. That settles it. I'm getting the KBB.

Recently got one of these as a gist from my partner as I had always wanted optimus when I was a kid. I'm really pleased with it, the quality is great and its less than third the price, if you want a G1 prime but cash flow is an issue definitely go for this one and maybe try and find a small autobot sticker for his left shoulder

This was my first ever modern Transformer, very nice little figure. Mine came with a loose head ball joint that I came around to fix only recently with a bit of tape around the ball only to break the dark grey bracket that hold the front wheel and bumber pieces because I dropped it while transforming it. The joints on mine didn't actually give me problems with holding poses though and it's still on my shelf.

The chest piece is very wide if they have provided a center split it might have looked more realistic . Just my thoughts... but as usual great review!

Yay, thanks for the review :). I have wondered for a while (like a year or so :D) if this is worth buying. These hollow forearms put me off a bit (and I thought this has wrist swivel), but I guess I'll buy it. I own only one KBB figure (KO of PC-17 CW Ultra Magnus upgrade kit) and it's fairly decent - it requires a bit of tinkering to line up everything in vehicle mode, one shoulder swivel joint keeps popping out and tightness on joints is mostly "acceptable", but it's good for it's price. Too bad the others probably will be difficult to obtain (unless you've seen them in retail stores), I've seen only this one and "Shockwave" at AliExpress and it seems these both are becoming scarcer day by day. On the other hand, there's OS KO SS Dropkick (helkicopter) and OS KO Siege deluxes (Hound, Sideswipe, Red Alert) at almost the same price... Tough decisions :D

This one is actually a KO. Specifically, a KO of 3rd party model kits by generation toys. Also, out of all 4, only optimus came assembled, everyone else is a model kit, including megatron, which is the trickier to build among them, due to his more complicated transformation.

Thank you for replying to my comment. In one of your vids I asked you to review this. And also thank you for inspiring me to review transformers and other toys. And make a collection. I only have 28 transformers though. And I need some advice, I found an mp 10 for $16.00 but it does not come with the trailer or the box, or I can get one for $102.00 but it comes with both trailer and box. Which one should I get because I'm collecting masterpieces.

I can't remember what it was exactly, but this was an oversized KO of some third-party Legends sized Optimus. It's cool, but not even their best "work"; that'd be their "KBB MP10V" series...a Voyager sized Optimus that looks like MP10, but actually based on the Wei Jiang "MPP10" (longer thighs & calves for better proportions). It's a big boy, though; just barely taller than the likes of Generations Springer & Sandstorm or TFP Shockwave. (And it's definitely towering over the Siege & Earthrise "Leader class" stuff...) MP10V: Optimus Prime. Also has the separately sold "KBB MP10V Tactical Container" trailer, for those who care about it. MP10VU: ...the obligatory Ultra Magnus core robot repaint. Somebody did a 3D print file for it (and the 1:1 "MP10U" KO, and maybe the Wei Jiang "MPP10U") that provides the Ultra Magnus armor parts, based on the actual MP21 parts. But who cares... MP10VB: Black Convoy, Nemesis Prime, whatever...this is the repaint folks want!! Perfect for your Decepticon ranks, but he's got the same problem as the regular MP10V in that he'll tower over other Voyagers and Siege/Earthrise "Leaders". They had a MP10VSG prototype (a Shattered Glass repaint) along with a prototype of a downsized MP28 Hot Rod, but they ultimately didn't make either one. Given how long it took them to do the trailer, I'm not really surprised. (Judging from the TFW2005 boards, it seems that they didn't make the trailer until the reissue of MP10V came out)

@@danelting2 well, i wasn't 100% with the KBB products. so i would suggest you just save up for Magic Square or New Age products, or if you're on a budget, just get Mech Fans Toys products
