My Persian friend makes the best matzoh ball soup. One of his secret ingredients is a small amount of chopped fresh ginger in the matzoh mixture. A very delicious and unique flavor. I love it

Today, my mom saw this video first and mentioned some recipes here to my dad for ideas. Because my dad wanted to make surprise soup for dinner tonight or tomorrow. Funny coincidence as a couple of hours later, he found the same video as my mom mentioned to me while I was watching this video. I'm looking forward to making this soup pretty soon and I've always wanted to try matzo ball soup. Thank you. 🍲 🖤✨

This recipe looks good but there are a couple of things I would change. I would use skinless legs and thighs. I also wouldn't use chicken broth from a box instead I use Knorr chicken bouillon powder for additional taste. The rest of it looks really good accept for the clove of garlic it's too strong I would use some season salt which has garlic powder and gives a milder flavor. My dear mother taught me how to cook and she was a force to wrecken with. Her mother was taught by one of the best chefs in Hungary and my mother was taught how to make so many dishes including jewish foods since it's in our culture. I love watching these videos and seeing that it is being passed on. You don't have to be jewish to appreciate the delicious foods we have.

Billy! So happy ab this one. Just came back from that other vid you mentioned at the end. I love all your soup recipes and techniques you teach. First, I wish I was your next door neighbor! I have some italian in me and I have the same 'thing' just like my mum, I cook for 20! haa so I can relate to that lol Never tried matzo soup, but I want to now, if I cannot find the matzo meal or crackers, what should I use? Great recipe I like your channel, so professional and with great taste. I watch many channels, but Entertaining with Beth, Joy of Baking, Bruno Albouze and yours are really my fave ones, the ones I rely on when it's about professional and serious cooking and baking 👏😊

What size/type pot is that you’re using? I usually make my matzo ball soup in an aluminum stock pot, but thinking of upgrading.
@valeriewaterman21763 жыл бұрын
Please try to stop using aluminum because it leaches into everything that you make in it. It is not good for you to have that metal in your body. Especially tomato based food!

Do you folks cook the rest of the matzoh, or just the balls? (PS, add nutmeg!)
@jilldent55142 жыл бұрын
Matzo is pronounced Matza and the recipe is on the back of the box he has. I add in some parsley and I just use some beef paste that's natural minus the chicken pieces. You can use cabbage in there since it loses it's taste (just to add some healthiness).
@littlelamb68042 жыл бұрын
I cook the matzo balls in water first and then transfer them to soup to keep the soup clear.
