Loving my Ninja now! It cooks my dinner nearly every night! I cook fresh food, not frozen, and last night enjoyed bone in chicken breast with roasted veggies and it was delicious and quick! Sheet pan dinners are great, and all meat cooks tender and juicy! My big oven is just for bread and cakes now!

I like this reply bc I have friends who raved about air fryers and noticed they seemed to be only eating chicken wings, fish sticks and French fries. Its healthier than Frying- sure, but they are now eating mostly frozen convienient foods. Your comment was what changed my mind about buying one. I made salmon and roast veggies and also chicken breast. I will probably still use my oven (although not as much) but this works great!!

So…. I’m an idiot. I’ve had mine since early 2020 and somehow completely missed the fact that it was made to flip up for storage. My ONLY complaint about my Foodi was that it always said “FLIP” after my food was done. I’ve thought this whole time that it was telling me to flip the dang food. 🤪

I got one of these, so far I like it way more than any toaster oven I've had, nearly all the toaster ovens were too small in depth and width to do frozen pizzas. This does any standard frozen pizza on the market. Also, I had a friend cut a 3/16" steel 13x13 cleaned it, and cooked it, than seasoned it with avocado oil to use as a sear plate and a pizza steel. Perfect for making scratch pizza.

So there is a way to open the bottom. If you flip the Foodi into the vertical position, there should be a button on the plastic frame underneath that will open the entire underside beneath the catch tray. This makes it much easier to clean the back interior and the overall inside of the Ninja Foodi oven.

I’m using this because my cuisinart broke. It seems too close to the top and I don’t understand why there’s no drip pan under the basket. The tray that comes with it has to stay beneath the bottom element. I usually cook thick steaks, so I’m lost
@fancyesquire88887 ай бұрын
Okay, but you wouldn't grill a steak in a conventional oven, so why are you expecting a micro sized oven to do the same? It would be the same issue, the heating coils are exposed to fat and juice run-off, the tray is below them. You should be searing and cooking steaks on a stove or BBQ grill. The right tool for the right job.

I see problems here. Due to its low clearance there isn’t much space in there to properly circulate the air. Not sure if this would be as good as a stand alone air fryer. The air fryers are very bulky because it needs that space to properly circulate the air. Also the heating elements due to its slim design are very close to the food. If you want to heat lets say a croissant, by the time you heat the inside the top flaky layers of it would burn. Thats hard to control even in a spacious toaster, but in the slim one I think you would get burned tops

I have one its great, more versatile than a stand alone air fryer. 2 things that would be better. Irs very low , great for pizzas up to 12". Im alone so not so bad , i dont need to cook full chickens or turkey or large roasts. But still it would better to have more headroom food can be very close to top elements. if not just so it would be easier to clean. The newer model of flip up oven is a bit higher and do have other models that dont flip up. Second disappointment is there is no roasting plate included neither one you can purchase separately. Would be easy to have a perforated roasting grill that neatly fits over the included pan. Even cheap small black and decker toster ovens fron 80s- 90s had that included. I looked for something that could work but never the perfect size 12"x 12", either rectangular or to big and to small. After lots of searching the best fit i could find on Amazon is a cooling grill for baking that is 10" square that can put in the included pan. A bit smaller but i guess will have to do. When roasting chicken breast or legs or whatever at least food is not staying in oil and fat directly in the pan !

that little mighty old Cuisinart you have there does everything this thing does, and better. Lets see you cook a whole chicken in this limited Ninja thing that costs way more. Really, I want to see you cram a 4 pound bird in this thing and cook it. Entertainment value off the charts.

I agree, the only thing the old one can't do is dehydrat. We could fit a turkey in there too haha

Why are you cooking a whole chicken in an air fryer anyways? That's what ovens are for.

We love ours, but we are finding the dial harder and harder to use. It is overly touchy and sometimes will take 5m just to get it to stay on the right option/temperature. Anyone else?

I was just about to say it depends on when you buy it. When they first came out they were 299. So glad I didn't impulse buy because atound christmas, they were on sale at kohls for 169 or somewhere around there. I had a 40% off coupon and kohls cash (clothes shopping for kids 😅😅) and my end balance was $69.00 🎉🎉

150 is much too high for dehydrating.

After pressing dehydrate you can change your temp lower than 150
