**Nice cordless mixer**
TL/DR: This is a nice cordless mixer, very convenient, but not perfect.
Pros:
o Great not having to wrangle a cord while you are mixing
o Very clear battery charge level indication
o Decent 30 minute life
o Power seems as good as a corded mixer
o Not as heavy as I thought it would be
Cons:
o Proprietary barrel power plug instead of USB-C charging
If you're like me, dragging the mixer out is a little bit of a chore. Yes it is a go-to appliance in any kitchen, but you always have to unwind the cord, plug it in, make sure you aren't dragging it through any of your prep work, then after you use it, wrap the dang cord up and try to stash the whole works away.
So the idea of a cordless mixer is great. This Chefman mixer has the things that I am looking for. Seven speeds, with a nice range from slowest to fastest. The slow-start feature is really nice to avoid splattering. And they've created a giant indicator on the front that gives you a three color-indicator of how much charge you have left - that is super-helpful.
I like the operation, but you aren't going to escape the hassle of cord wrangling completely with this thing. They use a proprietary charger, so you can't just plug it into your handy USB-C charger whenever you need to top up. Instead you'll have to dig their wall wart out of wherever you've stashed it to get the charging done. That's a negative, but not enough to take off a star.
