RAWA IDLI
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves:
Course: Breakfast
Cuisine: south indian
Ingredients:-
2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Mustard seeds
1 tbsp Gota urad
¼ tsp Asafoetida / Hing
1 tbsp Red & Green chilli, chopped
7-8 cashew, broken
Salt to taste
1 inch Ginger, chopped
1 cup Semolina/ Rawa
Oil, for greasing
½ cup yoghurt/ fresh or sour
Coriander leaves, chopped
A pinch of Asafoetida/ hing
1 tbsp fruit salt
For garnish:-
Roasted cashew
Process:-
● In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds, gota urad, Asafoetida, red chill, green chilli and broken cashew saute well.
● Add salt to taste, add ginger and semolina and roast well on medium flame.
● Transfer it to a bowl, add curd and water mix it properly and keep aside for 20 minutes.
● Now add fruit salt and mix well.
● Grease the idli mould, pour the batter and keep half cashew on each.
● Steam at higher temperature for 3-4 minutes.
● Serve with coconut chutney.

@@ritushmitamandal4168 Near Urvashi Theatre (Lal Bagh Botanical Garden) and other branches... Lal bagh itself is famous so you can ask anyone once you reach there... Go for unlimited lunch around 12.30.. it was 250/- like 5 yrs back. Worth it

Good thing in ur vdo is 1-simple and easy 2-aap koi brand use ni krte add ni krte jo ghr m easily available h usi m testy bna dete ho. 3-ur smile and the way u talk and every word u saying ranveer aapne btaya ni and all this make ur recipe too good 😋☺️.

Hey ranveer.. I'm from Karnataka and I make rava idlis.. just a quick note.. it's not necessary to add khatta dahi. It's ok even if u add regular dahi. No need to refrigerate the batter also. And it's important which type of semolina we take. The medium semolina is the best. Other wise doesn't taste good. And ya.. instead of adding soda can add Eno. Works same.

I just started watching your videos.... It's really interesting to see the way you articulate your thoughts with stories around the food. Oh my God I saw ranveer's show after a couple of years (I used to follow his show a lot on food food or some similar lifestyle kind of channel)...has he totally turned into a hippie and in the nicest way!! I kept the batter aside for 40 mins and steamed the idlis for around 10 mins... And made 10 medium sized idlis from 1 cup rawa.. It turned out awesome

Mavvalli Tiffin Rooms (MTR) yes , MTR packed Ready to cook foods They initially started off with a traditional dine in restaurant in Bengaluru. It's one of the oldest and best South Indian Restaurants with serving staff dressed in Vaishti /lungi . There's a waiting time of 30 minutes . Fascinatingly there are timing /slots . It's a breakfast fav place. Be sure to always reach before 9 am else you'd see shut doors. Must try everything on the menu esp. KARABHAT /UPMA

After trying so many times I finally got delicious rawa idli by tarla Dalal. Amazing chef she was! Tips- batter should never be runny. Make tadka in ghee. Take thick yogurt. Add eno at the end, whisk it and directly pour in moulds without waiting.

I like he way you tell the history of every recipe....and the high temperature worked well, idli came out very soft, itni soft ki restaurant ki idli bhi fail ho jaye😁 good job
