Les was born to wear those sun shades. It was written in the stars. I just wonder if that bodyshell isn't savable unless there is something seriously wrong somewhere. Nice project all the same and it will keep you busy during your enforced vacation .. Stay safe Tush & Les.

It probably could be saved...there is some body damage outside of the rust that would need to be straightened out but I think I’ve worked on worse cars 😉

Lyle Mays was a very talented jazz pianist and played with Pat Metheny's combo. Unfortunately, he passed away at a young age.

Like my friend in the UK who restoring a vw bus you both got cracking away at it today. Question: is the goal to use just the running gear on this 76 for the other TR ??

Busman 54 The plan is to use the running gear from this car and transfer it to the other body shell...however, we need to determine what frame we are going to use so we will pull the body off both cars to determine that.

Mike Goodman Thanks for your concern Mike. I live alone...I don’t go out unless I need to go grocery shopping and I practice social distance and take precautions. ......Les is the only one I’ve been interacting with and the plan is to continue that.

Sub to your channel I been working on my 1967 vw bus turning 66 in July been having a lot of health issues bad feet and legs but i do what I can I really enjoy working on the old vw buses and beetle as a hobby. I guess with my hobby I been practicing with the covid-19 the required physical distancing with my vw's for many years now. In iowa we are getting close to a 100 cases everyday and the death rate is going up. On my vw bus there is window sticker on it from the 60's that states "The Whole World is Going To Hell and I'm Driving This Bus"
