What's the dialed trolling speed here at the falls?
@walkingonwaterfishing3 ай бұрын
Your looking for 1.5 going up steam and about 2.7 down. I base it off of my thump on the 360

Awesome. Making a mistake public let’s others learn from it. Well done. And awesome fish. We need more forgiveness for honest mistakes. The biggest coho we ever caught was a wild when we had to release it. Awesome experience though

How long did it take to land it?
@walkingonwaterfishing2 жыл бұрын
Probably a total of 20 Ish minutes honestly only because my net was to small did it take that long if I had a partner it would have been way faster but it was quite the solo experience!

Fantastic. I think there is nothing like catching a salmon. Especially when you are using barbless hooks.

@@lukecutbill6882 oh I bet brotha, is that how you caught that massive coho?
@lukecutbill68822 жыл бұрын
Yes, I was fishing near Victoria (bc). We lived there for about 14 years, and you are only allowed to fish single hook and barbless. Makes it a lot of fun, need to keep constant tension without pulling too much. It is a blast when you get a big one, took us over 30 minutes a few times. On the biggest chinook I ever caught my heart stopped cause it was windy and my dad accidentally turned to sharp and my line went slack. Had been fighting a big fish for about 25 minutes and thought for sure I lost it. But reeled like crazy and it was still there. Awesome experience. And when the pinks are running it was great to take out the kids or friends for their first experience. But now I am going to learn Kokanee fishing👍

@@lukecutbill6882 dang that sounds like such an awesome experience! Those are the memories worth holding onto. I hope I can get my kids on some fish like that! I could only imagine how hard it is to fight a fish with a barbless hook in its mouth sounds like a challenge. I want to coho fish bad I’ma have to find the run and chase it this fall! Kokanee are a blast fun little fish to catch great eating to!
