My favorite masks (no silicone for anyone that cares; doesn't matter to me) are the Garnier Fructis "Treats" masks. Get the big jars! Over here in Belgium they are called "Hairfood" instead of "Treats". The papaya and banana one are especially nice and the scent is to die for! And they don't break the bank!

Is your hair knotty after using it though? my mother swore no garnier products in our house after years ago she brought their regular shampoos and conditioners and how bad it affected mine, my little brothers and our dads curly hair. It dried us out so bad along with making our hair knotty but not my moms (she has pretty straight hair)

@@AngryDalishElf No it even smooths out without tangles when it's brushed. That is why it's so good! You can't compare the regular Garnier Fructis products to this mask, at all. This one's different, which is why it is such a great product!

I recently purchased both the recommended Mielle DCs on sale. I used the Overnight Conditioner and like how my hair felt. With the exception of the Edge Gel, I have all the other Rosemary Mint products. I will be using them soon to help combat my thinning hair. My current favorite DCs are Alikay Naturals Honey and Sage, Bask&Bloom Masque, and Miche Beauty Indulge. 🥰

Fun fact!the first time I used the Shea Moisture protein treatment, it was the morning of Easter Sunday. My shower broke. I had to rush and wash my hair in the sink, air dry and my hair still came out popping! 👌🏾

Tricia Matina everyone’s hair is different. A lot of people who have finer hair can’t deep condition every single week but I do. I alternate between using moisture and protein so my hair stays balanced.

Panamara 5 Thanks for that tip! I’m not a fan of silicones at all. However, the Palmers Coconut Oil conditioning shampoo has no silicone at all. This isn my first time using it so maybe the formula has changed since your last time using it.

Some of their products maybe silicone free but The deep conditioner shown in the video which is what I was referring still has dimethicone in it, hasn’t changed along with the strong roots spray and the curl & scalp refresher. Bought all 3 at Target not a month ago without reading first and now here they sit brand new and unused. It says no sulfates, Parabens, phthalates, mineral oils or gluten.. it doesn’t say no silicone.

I actually put a shower bag or cap for like 15 minutes minimum. After shampoo. I no longer shampoo, regular conditioner and than deep conditioner. I skip regular conditioner because I feel it's a waste of product/money. If you have dry hair. So instead I shampoo and then deep conditioner.

I know Bianca Renee (from Bianca Renee Today) uses a cap with beads in it that you throw in the microwave. So I just put a plastic cap on & use a blow dryer for heat to open up the hair follicles for a minute lol. And I detangle my hair while my regular conditioner is in, then rinse that out n use the deep conditioner

Most of those look like they have a lot of protein, I'm a low porosity 2a, shouldn't use protein very often at all since I don't do anything that would cause protein loss at all, I use no styling products and absolutely no heat unless warming henna (wet) or warming a deep conditioner, (also wet). Kinda want to try some other products besides Shea Moisture deep treament and Arvazalia argon oil.

Your hair probably didn’t need a protein treatment. Remember you have to balance the moisture and protein in your hair.
