I took my son to the the KC show and it was fantastic. I highly recommend if you can go, do it. Its not really about the gymnastics, its the message behind it of overcoming adversity that is truly magic. I thought Katelyn's spoken word was absolutely tear jerking. My son is 12 and not a gymnast , he just wanted to go. He loved it as well. Chellsie you did a great job- your beam was amazing!!!!

i just love love love seeing all the gymnats so happy relaxed and having so much fun! The gymnast on tour with Chellsie were probably watching her when they were turning elite, and not a single one of them (nor Chellsie) had ANY idea that one day, in teh distance future, they'd all be on tour together doing elite gymanstics!!!!!! Its just TOO cool !!! hey, there are probably gymnasts out there right now, in junior elite not knowing that in another 10 or so years, they may be on tour with Simone, Mykayla .. (and probably still Chellsie LOL) one day 😂😂

hahahaha i think what scares Mykayla about you so much Chellsie is that knowing and SEEING it first hand, that its more than possible to do elite gymanstics in your 30s ... i reckon it gives her the pull back to do it again at some stage later on ... another world champs perhaps mwwwwaaaaaahhhhh. 🤣🤣 i LOVE that you are doing this. Poor Myk, I know she wants to have other life experiences and start a family, I hope she is able to do that. If she does decide to come back, she will likely be much better off if she has taken time away where her body can heal more deeply from the aches and pains of full time training.

@chellsie you're such an inspiration to us older folks & also younger ones as well, they can see that you're not done at 18, 20, 24...(after high school, college). I was done competing after high school but still conditioned for 10 years so I was able to still do some things. I was asked after hs, since beam was my apparatus of choice (yes, crazy, I know), to help choreograph beam routines..I was so excited. It turned into a full time gig & I was asked to be *THE* choreographer!!! I was so thrilled! I had a question for you & now forget. I just watched at the St. Louis show and your beam routine to levitating was amazing! It was great to see you perform live after watching you when I was a young gymnast at the tour after the 2004 olympics! Crazy how it was a very full circle moment for me! Your eye makeup for showtime was so pretty!! I saw you on the 2008 tour and it was amazing, with Shawn, Nastia, Shannon Miller + the men, so I was fine with it not coming near my city. It's too bad the men did not have a chance to tour and make $ in the off season (Simone could have been more inclusive, perhaps).

What is the reason that there are no other person on beam that learns to perform the arabian? It seems that any gymnast could learn and perform this.

Tons of people have performed Arabians on beam, though the back full (same difficulty value) is definitely more popular these days. Several girls that are on the tour did Arabians back in their elite days (Nia Dennis, Katelyn Ohashi, maybe others).
