So Chelsea have now officially ended their pre season after drawing 1-1 with Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge.
It was a match that saw both positives and negatives and in this video I give my thoughts on our final Pre Season performance as well as some early thoughts ahead of next weekends game vs Manchester City

I would have wanted to see Viega in CB more in preseason. I just find most of our defenders way too relaxed and it always opens up space, I feel an aggressive player like Viega would leave less room for errors like that.

Mudryk was way more dangerous on the ball than madueke. He also likes to get a deep ball on the wing, but never gets it. Just wait till maresca realises that fernandez doesnt play with mudryk at all.

Such a shame Chelsea had to let in that goal...especially as they defended it so well (?) Nice to see that Back-Line getting more and more reliable with each passing game. Sorry...type O....I mean to write "un"-reliable with each passing game. Yes, a couple of Chelsea Players missing to start with, but still, that was more or less Inter Milan's B Team and still Chelsea could not beat them. Not that Abramovich would have hired him in the first place, but I am betting if Abramovich was still Chelsea Owner and had hired Maresca, he would not be lasting past Christmas. I still cannot understand why that Chelsea Hierarchy is not moving mountains to sign Osimhen, considering they still do not have one Forward that can hit a barndoor from 2 feet away. They need 10 clear cut chances to score one goal and that really is not good enough.

I was at the game yesterday. In short, we are not ready. Defensively we are very poor, Viega was good when he came on, Guiu looks sharp. Dewsberry Hall was very poor. There’s flashes of decent play but overall I’m not convinced

We are not ready, this looks idéntical to Graham Potter Ball, slow predictable and Hard to break to break down teams when set up correctly. I believe system was the Best in which we were more physical and combative against top opposition at home. No big six club beat us at the brigdge last season which is the first in over 8 years. We say this every year, but we need to decide and commit. We KNOW we want to play a version of the Pep/City style. Our front office staff is filled with those people; which I love, quality guys. They picked a high quality teacher of that system, and now we need to have continuity. The more play, the better we will get m, decal of the players know the Managet is t s disposable napkin. We knew Poch was a stopgap, and died t gave a system he believes in. Potters system isn’t what they thought it was, and they learned that by bringing in better people.
