First Nick, I want to say I value your football takes. I know you know what you're talking about being a fan of your channel for many years now. A couple of things as a huge Chelsea fan for almost my whole 24 year old life 1) This season we have absolutely not been reliant on Palmer. In fact, Cole has probably been quite poor the last 4 or 5 games tbvh. The thing is, I'm happy about that. Palmer hasn't been good but it's gone so under the radar because we have so many other class players doing what needs to be done for us. 2) Sánchez is awful. He is definitely the main reason holding us back. He is genuinely the reason why our attack has had to be so much better because we concede goals we should never be conceding because Sánchez doesn't do goalkeeping basics (i won't go into depth with that altho i can as someone with a lot of GK coaching experience) 3) I would argue our defense is still not up to scratch. Good individuals but as a unit, we have cracks, especially with Fofana out now, we don't have a player like him. I think Tosin and Badiashile are good, even Disasi, but none of them have Fofana's aggression, speed and athleticism nor his Prem experience. Even tho he's 24, he's been in the league for ages and he marshalls a defense very well. 4) change of manager is a huge difference. I feel bad for you as an American. Poch is a woeful coach. Besides that. He was KILLING our players with injuries. He has archaic methods that can't win you anything. Maresca has a distinct style and his man management has been fantastic. Players like Mudryk, Madueke have taken huge strides, even the good guys like Palmer and Jackson have improved massively. Finally, keep up with not just these vids, but the other stuff too. UFL, eFootball, FC (bring back FM when it comes out) etc. It's quality stuff 🎉

Maresca has really come in and put his foot down in terms of what he expects, who fits what he wants to do, and is not afraid to hold his players accountable and drop them if they aren't following directions. As someone who majored in Sport Psychology and is a diehard Chelsea fan it's really fun to watch this team gel and fight for each other the entire 90 minutes. One thing you got wrong in here is that Chelsea is over reliant on Palmer. While it may look like that because we are over reliant on central build up, but being over reliant on Palmer was last season's story. This season we have a much more varied goal contributors. Maresca deserves his flowers for this structure and platforming these players to shine bar Nkunku.

I’m a big Chelsea fan, was at the game on Sunday and follow them home and away and I think we could have a very strong season. Should win the conference league, should push for a good fa cup run but importantly top 4 in the league. For now, we’re in the title race especially if we consider city still. I don’t think we will win it but we are in the race and we just need to focus and keep going. Big issue is our other CB next to Colwill as they’re not great and Sanchez is so awful. He will cost us games so need a new GK and we can compete for the league for sure next year

I’m a Chelsea supporter and you’re more level headed than the English clickbait clout chasing fans. Sanchez and Badiashile will be the reason why we will slip to 4th/5th. Maresca said that we won’t challenge for the title as the squad is not at that level yet. Get rid of them and Madueke, and buy a target man ST like Osimhen, Delap, and a CB and we can stay in top 4 and possibly challenge for the title. I want top 4 and winning the league isn’t something I care about. We have to make sure we win the Conference League and get top 4 because we haven’t been in the CL for so long and we will thrive in this new format because we have some of the most depth in world football. Chelsea are a sleeping giant and everyone knows it. It’s just a matter of when they wake up and everything clicks, which will be sooner rather than later. This comeback win against Tottenham proves that the team is building the mentality back up again.
