I think one of the factors is that Chelsea is full of young players. Even the captain, Reese James is still young. I hardly remember who's the other Chelsea player that won the Champions League 2020/21. Oh, Ben Chilwell. He's the only player that is old enough to lead - but he & James get injured all the time. While in Liverpool, they have plenty - experinence, some are old enough, leadership, working together for years already... So, yes. Maresca is correct - Chelsea is not ready to the PL title this season, and maybe next year. But in season 2025/26 or after that, they can be a great menace.

Chelsea have always had defensive problems this season, and making 5 changes to the squad simply didn't work. Ipswich was able to defend well, and played a great match. But there's no way that's a pen. Brushed his shin at most.

Rubbish he nudged the ball past the keeper and the contact though slight was enough to bring him down going at full pace, that is called a penalty
