Something literally every pundit ignores is Arsenal scored the most goals of any Premier League side in calendar year 2024. Yes, I realize a calendar year is not a full season. But this notion that Arsenal have trouble scoring goals is very much overblown. The reality is Arteta and Edu (recently departed) intentionally constructed a squad where goals are purposely designed to come from every position in a variety of ways. Not to mention virtually every pundit is ignoring that Havertz has 16 goals and 8 assists in his last 29 Premier League matches since Arteta moved him to the 9 position 11 months ago. Put those numbers next to literally any other attacking player in the Premier League aside from Haaland and there would never be these constant refrains from the likes of Craig and Stevie about Havertz. The reality is far too many pundits aren’t swallowing their pride. And they aren’t admitting Havertz is a much better fit at Arsenal in Arteta’s system than he ever was at Chelsea

It's a misleading stat. They had a number of games where they scored 6 or 7 that bumped the average up. They lost points in games where they didn't score or only scored 1.

Stopps scoring because of injury and or lack of selfbelieve as quick as the transwer window is o er. We more than ever need a striker AND a keeper. Raya is simply not good enough. Never 100% concentrated. Time bomb waiting to explode.

Why everyone keep bringing Brentford’s home record before Arsenal game. If I can recall , they played only bottom 6 teams in last 8 games at home and that’s why they had a good run. Arsenal were the only good team they faced and they lost .

Probably because they historically are very tough to beat there. This season, they've had a fairly easy run at home thus far, but the fact is there aren't really any easy wins in the Prem. Not only that, they did beat a very good Newcastle side and a decent Palace side so, not it has just been a cakewalk either and the reality is they will continue to make life quite difficult for most teams at the GTech. Aside from a goal against the run of play Arsenal brushed them aside rather easily.

The truth lies somewhere btw what they said and what u insinuated. Be careful, Liverpool fans are rabid… they will come after you. Their supporting class for scoring is all right but not as great as they said. Arsenal’s contributions of goals from all over the park is also a little underrated. Gabriel Centerback has 3 for example. Midfielders also chip in.

Totally agree with Nedum. Arsenal have no problem scoring with the squad as it is now. I do not understand why pundits are so quick to say they need a real striker in order to win. Nedum mentioned Haaland and Kane as examples. Even with the huge amount of goals that Kane produced in his first season with Bayern Munich, the club didn't win the league for the first time in many years. No pundits want to touch that one. Yet, it's a quick and automatic fix, buy a real striker and you will win. So simplistic. Real Madrid got Mbappé and the pundits all said they would win absolutely everything. At this moment, they are sitting second in LaLiga and 20th in the Champions League. Arsenal have a far greater need for quality backup players for key positions, as was shown when Ødegaard was out for a spell. Injuries and fatigue seem to be more of a deciding factor these days, especially for those clubs competing in top-level tournaments and advancing. With the number of games they must play, the chances of getting injured increases significantly. If your real striker gets injured or underperforms and you've changed the team chemistry and tactics to incorporate that one individual, you can kiss your season goodbye. And the pundits are still quick to say "Get a striker". It's automatic, and it's wrong.

That is a massive over reliance on a single player who is 32 and whose form always tails off in the second half of the season and who out of contract in a few months and can sign a pre-contract with another club now. Plus your best defender and most valuable player is in the same contractual situation. You’ll either lose all that world class talent with no money to replace them or end up with players in their 30s on 400k a week. Your club is a house of cards that is about to collapse.

Just had a look at this average goals per match and for City it was 0.4 and Arsenal 0.28. Very similiar numbers to what Havertz gets. Not a bad attacking player and neither is Havertz but I don't think either are good enough if they want to win the league or champions league.

Let’s be frank and admit Jesus is no where near a perfect fit being more of a poacher as he appears to be short of strength and speed. His goal tally ignoring the three in the cup game, against pretty poor opposition, is abysmal and unlike his predecessors is nowhere good enough. Ignoring Henry and Wright we had wide players and midfield who scored more including one right now in a hospital bed.
