Well, at least apart from "filthy", it didn't look like there was any real damage. Seems like with good cleaning, it'll be ship shape again! 😄

A little excess oil? This clock needs to be COA Hopefully the owner will understand the need and what will happen if they do not and run as is. Would love to see the work done on this. Thanks for video

Owner recognized the hair as one from their pet dog, must have got in there when the owner had it open removing the dial and hands...

Wow never knew some Chelsea clocks had domed glass! All in all that movement should really clean up nice. Looks like at one point in it's life it shared a space with a cat. lol

The owner said they were from their dog, must have gotten in there when he took the dial and hands off prior to shipping.

Looks like a "layman/owner" thought a little oil on the gears would help. Maybe when he removed the dial and hands.

The oil on the pinions and gears looks like it came from excess oil in the mainspring barrel.

Owner only wanted a quick inspect to determine its condition, so they can make a decision to move forward or not. glad you enjoyed.
