Hope we keep Connor and Trev. Connor was everywhere vs Bournmouth.Caicedo doesnt score that goal without Gallagher getting stuck in as usual by the way.

Got sacked by Parma after 6 months Took over Leicester a team that was expected to be promoted back anyways because of the quality (highest payroll in the championship ever) and almost bottled it at the end I AM SORRY NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CHELSEA Potter 2.0

I take a different view. Most sensible Chelsea fans have been crying out for stability and a clear pattern of play. Clearlake are trying to deliver that. They have hired (in my opinion) two top sporting directors that have already delivered Palmer, Gusto, Jackson, and Noni for very reasonable money, and convinced more established stars wanted by other top clubs (Caicedo, Enzo, Paez, Willian) to sign up for the project when wanted by other very big clubs. I believe that the style of play should be decided by the board and the manager hired to work with those players and deliver success. We now have players to adopt the same possession based technical playing style the board wants. This style will require less stress physically and should ensure our chronic injury crisis (which let’s remember was in most cases not due to kicks and fouls, but muscle pulls from the high intensity training at Cobham). The days of sacking a manager every 18 months then brining in a whole new coaching staff, new style of play, and new batch of players is not a sustainable model under modern day PSR rules. This has got to be the way forward. Yes, we need patience of probably one more season of mediocre performance but I think with Willian and Paez arriving into a settled team in 2025, we will be back to challenging for titles. Believe in the process.

What process? There is no process, we know that because the owners sacked Poch after one season, a season of ups and downs but one where we started to click and find form at the back end of the season. One more season with Poch then Move on to that next level manager but the owners thought different and we are back at square one again, ground zero and manager number 6 in two seasons 🤦

None of the candidates would have been the right choice. OWNERS AND DIRECTORS OUT!!
@nicholasgage20956 ай бұрын
I was told Potter was different and looked what happened as this looks very similar. I have no confidence in them making the right decision or any decision. The best and most successful managers are big personalities and lead from the front. Neither player should be sold.

I have no problem with the recruitment people focusing on recruitment and the Coach focusing on coaching. It doesn't seem like such a wild idea lol I am Cautiously optimistic having Enzo in Charge. He will.make us defensively solid again and have us controlling games. THIS IS CHELSEA. As far back as I can remember we have traditionally been a defensively solid team that tried to control games. We have a long history of Italian influence since the days of Vialli and Claudio Ranieri. Then later managers like Conte and Ancelotti. I hope Maresca will add to a long history of successful Italian Coaches. Up the Chels 💙

As a season ticket holder I’ll be delighted if we sell Gallagher and Chalobah. Jack Charlton would have loved Gallagher, run like a headless chicken and put your foot in but he lacks quality, has very little creativity and has a powderpuff shot. There was some games I felt we were playing with ten men and if we can get £50m for Gallagher, ship him out. Chalobah did well at the end of the season but overall he wasn’t great. We need a top striker, who hopefully is Osimhen, that can team up with Nkunku upfront. The future looks so bright and we’ve got a great squad. Most people forget we had Reese James, Fofana, Colwill, Chilwell, Lavia and Nkunku out for most of the season. I believe we’ll also sign a top centre back and I expect next season to see us playing some fabulous football and controlling games.

We don't have players for high possession structure but for power, speed and penetration. De Zerbi is peak Chelsea: all out greatest managers rolled into one. Charisma, innovation and passion.

How do you know that the reason Porch left was that the management refused to keep your Gallagher and Chaloba? Were you there in the meeting?

Madness to sell Gallagher & chalobah, yet more home grown talent being moved on. Surely a head coach should at least be asked their advice or have some input on transfers ? Let's hope if Maresca comes in he's learnt all the best bits from pep, otherwise "madness " will be blasting out the tannoy as it's become "one step beyond " ! 😁⚽️🎶🎵🎶

Maresca wont get a say in transfers either... It's madness. We'll sell Chalo and Gallagher and reset all the progress from last season. We've become Yes-man FC

The head of the spear is being honed. The underperforming managers have been removed. Owner's focus: Improving results, team style of play, FFP/PSR/FIFA compliance - whether that means selling players, using allowable levers to shuffle money, seeking partial corporate investors or partners in the academy/senior teams/hotels or for stadium redevelopment. First team areas for improvement: gk, back line, holding mid chemistry and performance, more blance in the attacking midfield, a striker, fit players who are injured less, continue to develop and provide playing opportunities for squad and academy players in lieu of mid week games, busy December and January schedules. Most importantly is to bring back winning cutting edge soccer to the bridge.

Don't think u understand football finances. With the loan players u mention if we sell them for 100 mill it won't be close to 100 mill profit in the books after deducting their current book value

They dont want a yes man. They want a head coach. We’ve Joe Shields and Co as talent id and recruitment. The coach is not a professional recruiter Let’s get the facts right

You can ignore the Lukaku sale, there is no way we'll sell him for more than his book value, and will probably have to pay him off because nobody will match the wages he's on.

Man we are losing identity. Now we will play a "death by thousand pass" / boring football. Being not native to the UK, Chelsea's direct football made me fall in love with this team. We dont have the star power of city to break the low blocks and i have never seen tiki taka bullshit win titles with just 11 players on the pitch (you have to buy the refs like barcelona did). Pretty skeptical on this recruitment

People like you spent all season defending pochettino. Now your incompetent poch has been sacked all of you have now discovered standards. Now we have to finish above 6th. You defended poch while he had us 12th. That shows me the underlying agenda you ran all season.
@ChelsDaft6 ай бұрын
No, I defended the process and went against pretty much everyone else to implore people to give things time to change, to learn and develop. My argument is that we did that, one defeat in 15, finish 6th and get rid of the manager to start all over again. My point is that the new manager MUST do better than 6th as it’s a complete waste of time
@apescience24546 ай бұрын
@@ChelsDaft the process is not attached to pochettino like some of you have become attached to him. If we sell an underperforming player to sign a better one is that also starting the project afresh? Recalibrate your mind. The clearlake/Chelsea project is exactly what it is. Not pochettino project.

Believe in the process. By the way you cant count on a Lukaku sell to bring in ‘profit’. We would need to sell him this summer for £38m just to avoid making a LOSS on him. However, sells of Maatsen, Hall and Broja would bring in good profit. Unfortunately as much as I love Conner, he works for a Poch style, but for the style we want to play, Lavia will make much more sense
