Yeah this is the thing that people don't seem to get. If Pochitino is a success, then great they've got a base of players on long term contracts, and they won't need too many more additions in future windows. But if he fails and a new manager comes in, that new manager won't have the freedom to have a bottomless pit of funds for a rebuild. It seems to me that they are gambling that this rebuild will be the last for many years, yet they are a club with a culture of short term managerial reigns and success built in honeymoon periods.

Gallagher has a solid football brain, solid technique, good positioning and awareness. He's not as fast as some players is a weakness especially in the DM zone, but overall I think he's underrated. Be interesting to see how his season progresses. Caceido clearly DM zone. Looks like Lavia is on his way to Liverpool. I agree with everything except the striker thing, if you follow chelsea you see in the past we bought what we thought top class strikers but they all didn’t work out, morata, lakaka, fernando torres, Shevchenko, kezman, timo they all didn’t work except king drogba, now we have a little bit of a unknown who looked up at drogba and reminds me of him and he looks amazing so I have my hopes up for this one. 🤞🏼

Thoughts on Chelsea: 1.)it is within the rules, it highlights how great the work is Klopp, Howe, Brighton, Arteta and Co did who all spend but not anywhere near this sum and became better bit by bit. Raises the question how bad Chelsea are at managing the squad, they ,,scout" what others want to buy spend way more than everybody else and still fail!? 2.)If not for the agent what reason would there be to join chelsea as a talent? Chelsea has a horrific record of developing players, they fail, regress or at best stay the same. So of course you can chose money and hope for short term titles (was better in the past) but from a footballing perspective you are more likely to stop becoming better

one thing i don’t agree with mark on is the hatred for the saudi league and there spending. I understand why people would be mad, however the premier league did the exact same thing. The italian league used to be the place for the best players in the world, then the premier league had insane money pumped into it to make it what it is today.
