I've known several babies that like to stare at ceiling fans. Not all babies do, but I have known some that do. Like I've seen others say too, babies like to stare at lights too...especially Christmas tree lights. Sometimes that was the only way to calm one of my nieces down as an infant! Enjoy this time while you can, because it seems like you blink and they've grown so much! Congratulations to you and your families!!! Praying for you all!

To answer the question about what is considered active labour - its when the cervix reaches about 4/5 cm dilated, and that would be the best time to head to the hospital if you aren't already there. And about the no eating during labour at the hospital, (at least where I am from but I assume this is standard practice everywhere) you can eat during early labour but once you get to about 6 cm dilated (I think) they ask you not to eat because if any serious complications arise and they have to take you for emergency C-section there is no time to empty your stomach and that would put you at a higher risk of aspirating on any vomit that might come up your throat while you are on the operating table, especially if you have to go under general anaesthesia and you could get what's called aspiration pneumonitis (a form of injury to your lungs). I am so happy for you both, you have been soo encouraging to me. I am praying for you and your family and I pray that God will give you both the strength to keep sharing and reaching out to others!

Hey Chelsea! Have you heard of Scribbling Grace? She bought a journaling Bible to use as a Bible book which I think is so adorable. She paints and writes prayers inside so that once he's old enough she can give it to him and see all milestone dates and blessings she's prayed over him. I just think it's so sweet. Yes I am only 17 with no plans to have a child any time soon but I'm definitely planning on doing something like this, I thought maybe you might too

(To answer Nicks question @16:30) 8 centimetres and I’d be calling someone to walk me through a home birth instead of attempting to get to a hospital 🏥 But everyone is different- it takes my body the whole bulk of time getting to 8, then it’s all goes fast!

I have an amazing midwife but I’m still scared to have a natural birth. It’s not really like a “I’m scared I don’t want to do it” it’s more or so “I’m scared and I’m super excited do to the anticipation of it” 🤣 I’d love to know how you really prepared for your birth, if you did yoga throughout your pregnancy, what helped you focus through the pain, etc

My question is do home births have the support needed if the birth doesn't go as planned? I ask because I was very close to deciding on a home birth with my daughter but decided to go to the hospital. I'm glad I did, because I pushed for 3.5 hours and almost had to go into an emergency C section. They had to vacuum my daughter out and she had shoulder dysplasia. She was also 9.5 pounds... And I'm a pretty small gal.... So just curious if an in home birth would be able to accommodate all of that.

So do they deliver the placenta after just like in the hospital? What do they do with it? And how much care did you get after? That’s what scares me also. You go mama! You looked like a rock start the entire time!
@annieroydube3 жыл бұрын
Of course they do! I’m pretty sure they just dispose of it except if you plan on doing something with it. They take as much care of you as they would in the hospital🥰

If you call around in your area for midwifery groups, they can direct you to a local midwife. You can consult for free and decide what's best for you and your birth. That's how I got my midwife and I absolutely love her.

So endearing for your husband to run to target while you’re in labor to get your outfit not to mention you had 39 weeks to get this outfit but what a nice man. How old are you? You look so young, I know not everyone’s going to agree with me but I wish everyone would wait until they’re at least 30 before they get married and 35 for they have a child you don’t have to be married to be complete you don’t have to have a child to be complete but your birth story is beautiful and I wish you all the best! Best line ever from a new parent ‘babies are a different breed’ lol yeah think!? Mom of twins💝💝

Why do you care so much about how other people live their lives? Your comment comes across as judgemental and rude but you’re masking it with saying you are happy for them lol.
@bellavita30973 жыл бұрын
Not masking anything, a genuine true statement spoken from pure experience in every single 40+ year old man I’ve met has the same story they got married right out of college 22 23 24, now both mom and dad have to work mom see somebody that strikes your fancy at work and there’s another family of divorce more children of divorce I speak from experience who you are at 20 is not who you are 30 who you are 30 is not who you are at 40 so on, It’s my opinion that your 20s should be made to explore and travel and not be tied down to the same person because who you are in your 20s is not who you are in your 40s etc. don’t you judge unless you’ve walked a mile in my shoes.
@tazmin50203 жыл бұрын
Their child wasn't planned, but they embraced and appreciated it. You clearly haven't watched any of their other content, so I'd recommend you explore their channel before judging their family. I think they're doing a fantastic job, especially because this was unexpected, and I know you may not have meant it but your comment really comes off as horribly judgemental.
@mdawnk3 жыл бұрын
And I wish everyone just respected other people's decisions. What works for you won't necessarily work for someone else :)
@tej41433 жыл бұрын
@@bellavita3097 You got to understand God demands purity you telling people to wait till 30 is basically saying you have to be a virgin till 30. The Bible says in Hebrews 13:4 (KJV ) - Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. As well as Proverbs 18:22(KJV)- Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
@ladybuglover953 жыл бұрын
Don’t you feel a little too young to have a baby? You all are just babies yourself and this lifestyle seems very rushed.
@tazmin50203 жыл бұрын
Not that it should matter, but their baby wasn't planned, but extremely appreciated clearly. They didn't intentionally rush their family but it happened and they're doing a great job.
@rebekahwoods983 жыл бұрын
You’ve literally commented on multiple of their videos talking about how they’re too young. Do you not have anything better to do with your life other than try to hate on people who don’t even know you. Just mind your own business, they’re clearly doing a really good job and were financially and mentally ready for this child. And prepared a lot. It’s sad you’re letting someone else’s decision to start a family affect you so much. Seems like you’re the one who’s being a baby. Grow up.
