Big Shop Car Update - I Work On These Cars Whenever Possible…

It’s been a minute since I shot anything in the shop so I figured I’d give an update. I’m only home a couple days of the month so I usually don’t have time to shoot anything. Hope you guys enjoy, trying to get back into the uploads more.

Shop update aka Chelsea rambling to us abt some sick ass cars for 22 mins

Check the ends of your shafts compared to your input flange and your crownwheel to see if it's had camber and/or toe added to it. You might find it's been done to straighten any misalignment from the factory.

Definitely educated in turbos That's what I tell everyone that wants. 450 HP really responsive and boosted. Go with a mitsubishi Turbo or FP for Perfection.

Matching a Turbo to your engine or build is like matching a carburetor to an engine. CFMs and so forth

8.8 diffs are known to spin the tubes. There’s a good chance the welds where just to ensure the tubes wouldn’t spin

It’s in the middle of the tube tho. We found out it was where sway bar tabs were at.

No need to cut and weld when you can heat shrink the tubes to move them.

nord lock washers work great on 4 bolt turbos.

Tubes were shortened for c clip eliminators or 9" bearing housing.

for your turbo/manifold etc use copper exhaust locking nuts. my misses s14 turbo/mani/dump religously use to come apart every 3 months, since throwing them on i haven't had todo it since.

It's very common to weld axle tubes on these rear ends on drag cars so the tubes don't twist in the housing when launching on slicks. Also, will you be selling the sn95 3.73 dif?

Not selling. Need multiple ratios for different tracks. Also it’s welded in the center of the tube, not to the housing. It was from the sway bar they had on it

Yea my last setup was gtx2867 gen 2 at 16 psi. It was perfect, until it wasn’t after I turned it up to 20ish

@@chelseadenofaI can understand that. 20psi is too much. Over powers the chassis and it’s just a struggle between the cad and the power. I had a friend back in the early 2000s turbo his 89 Miata when I turboed my 92 s13 coupe. He found out quick that stock internals don’t like a 16G turbo with a crushed wastegate dome.

Out of the master rear brake outlet to the inlet on handbrake, out of the handbrake to the line that was originally going into the master.
