MY FOX BODY BREAKS 400 WHP ON THE DYNO! New injectors and maxing the BOOST!

We have been stuck at like 380 whp for a long time because of several reasons on the FOX. But today we broke 400whp on a dyno that I believe was reading low based on how it loads the car. We had some issues along the way but worked through them. Unfortunately we have maxed out the NX2 turbo within its limitations. The back pressure is limiting the power up top and we can't make more that 25psi.
We will pick a winner of who guesses the closest to the red Miata dyno numbers 24 hours after posting this video, so make sure you get a guess in there.

You need that pump to pick-up torque down low, so once we get that drive current correct, you can bring in torque the big pump down low. The larger mechanical displacement of the pump will allow for higher fuel flow for the same rpm vs the stock Bosch HPD5 (because injection window is still pretty big down low). Great to see the new injectors putting some time in the Fox!!!! Keep pushing! We got you!

copy, there is still a lot of power to be had down low, but this dyno was loading the car so hard at 2500 that we really pulled the boost back. First pull it was 400ftlbs at 2600. Once we get it back on the track I'm sure we will be giving it the boost back down low again to make that power, we were just not wanting to air cool the motor haha. The injectors helped a lot, were only at 35-37% duty cycle now.

I've always wanted to take a new 2.3 turbo engine in an older ranger back in 04 I had an 83 ranger with a 2.3 out of a turbo coupe it was sweet also the Volvo twin cam 2.3 head can be fitted to the ford 2.3 ford block seen it a few times which allows more power reliably

What is the weight difference between this engine and an NA Coyote? Wouldn’t one of those at around 4-500hp be both (relatively) cheap and super reliable, without being a boat anchor?

Find 2.3 turbo engine from ford mercury xr4ti. I put that engine in my ford sierra for eu market and that you can tune to the moon. Similar engine was in that mustang but near one that they put in that xr4ti. Btw, who didn't hear for that car, that is ford sierra cosworth for USA market ... same time frame as your white mustang

Chelsea have you guys considered plugging the DI ports and running traditional fuel injection? If so what is the drawback to doing that or why not go that route etc. Especially being on a stand alone management.

It would blow up drifting that way honestly. The pistons and head are designed for DI so there would be significant hotspots and issues with VE. This setup works amazing and its worth all of the effort to have such an efficient powerband.

Not for drifting, the stock ECU has way too many tables and conditions. For motorsports, stand-alone is the only way for me. Ford does sell a plug and play controls pack for ecoboost which for a street car would be amazing

Why didn't you convert to port injection when you first built it? Radium has a kit for ecoboost. Just delete the DI system

I want the largest and most efficient power band. Port injection on these can be used to add fuel, but its way less efficient. Radiums stuff is awesome! but we wanted to be straight DI on this. Were fuelled up for like 600 now on straight DI.

With port injection you wil also reduce detonation due to the headifold and not spraying the valves at all, also go for the individual port cylinder head, talk to ford performance and get me one too while your at it.
