243hp looks about right. Such a light car, they always feel like they make significantly more than they do. I remember on a run in tune making 160 and thinking it must be around 200

Yea, but we made 260 before at 6 psi less, softer timing, and 2.25” exhaust. No way we went backwards haha

Do hub dynos have you input wheel size? The force at the tires would be a function of the leverage the hubs have over them so if the wrong wheel size was put in you would get a different reading

2nd gear!😂 My ND1 made 290/277 @11 psi on a mustang dyno BEFORE we turned up the boost to 12.5psi max. Mine seems to hook a little better on 2nd gear roll ons. Probably due to the boost spool which I’m OK with 😂. Yours seems to spoil instantly inciting a rodeo ride of wheel spin.

My Miata head cracked last week. The only small silver lining was the weather is awful here and I have a spare head. It needs a turbo too, but I want to make a decent built bottom end for it.

@@chelseadenofa My stock block was run with a bolt on ebay turbo til it cracked the rad and warped the head by the previous owner, the piston and rods were fine when we took it apart!

That's badass what an updated ecu can do. I've been scoping out newer systems myself for the built e36. Its still on an electromotive tec3r stand alone from 2005. It made 1000whp on that setup. Been curious what an ecu update and maybe e85 could do.

I would love to put a 1.6 ecoboost out of a fiesta st into a Miata. I have a big turbo fiesta st that makes close to 400whp and the motor is a tank and the power band is really good.

@@chelseadenofa oh boy! I have 91 E30 318is with M42B18 in it, this video definitely makes me wanna put a turbo on it. Do you know if those little engines handle boost? 7-10psi no more, mostly for tshu tshu noises :)
