🧶 Chenille Yarn Comparison 2024 // Ranked by a Beginner

I wish I did more research when I was starting to do the ami with the chenille yarns... I was NOT prepared for the amount of shedding that happened with the different yarns. I can see the hype behind the parfait with the variety of colors but they're always sold out each time I went to go look. Not sure which ones I like the best yet since I'm still testing them out myself but I did pick up the hobbi ones and the sweet snuggles.

Yeah, that's another thing. Stock is important. It seems like Parfait Chunky and hobbi (especially Honey Bunny) are often out of stock (sometimes ice yarns too). Shedding sucks but big twist posh and baby bear are really great since they don't really shed

Hi! I’m not sure if you answered this already but what size hook would you recommend for the sweet snuggles and sweet snuggles light when doing amigurumi? Thank you for the video, it was super helpful! 😊

I personally use a 6mm hook for sweet snuggles lite and an 8mm hook for sweet snuggles! And I'm so happy the video was helpful for you!

I like the Posh yarn but it is sold out everywhere I look. I contacted Joanne's and they said it was not discontinued but they did not know when it was back in stock. This was middle of March 2024. As of today, April 4 2024, it is not in stock. I tried the Bear yarn and it is similar to Posh and I liked it but now that one is out of stock on the solid colors.

Yeah, honestly. Idk what joann is doing with their yarn. It's so good but out of stock everywhere, so you can't really rely on it hopefully they stock them up and add more colors too

its crazy i love sweet snuggles n it never hurts my hands😭 but all chenille yarn sheds no matter what unless its bernat or velvet

Yeah, I have to say that during long crochet sessions with sweet snuggles/premier parfait xl, it definitely hurts my hand. But yeah, Chenille yarns will always shed rip. I actually tried bernat Blanket again recently and had a much better experience, but right now, I am mainly using sweet snuggles lite

Ugh the Premier Parfait yarn is awful. I love the Big twist line and they just came out with the Big Twist Baby Bear and it does not shed or break apart at all.

Yeah, I don't fully get the hype, but oh well. I tried the big twist baby bear a few days ago! I really liked it. Hope they get more colors for it. I will have a short video on it soon!
