Chennai Egmore - Chennai Beach New 4th line work shared in this video.
Chennai Egmore - Chennai Beach distance is around 4 km. Ballast work started partially between Chennai Egmore - Chennai Park stretch. Electric pole work too started partially.
At Park station track realignment will be done i guess and minor bridge construction work started. Initial work for island platform work started at Park Town MRTS station. Platform work for MRTS almost completed at Chennai Fort station.
Preliminary work for bridge work at RBI subway started.
Overall decent progress at some stretch but still work needed to speed up, so that work can be completed in.next 5 to 6 months.

Very excellent update you have given about this 4th Line. In fact from Chennai Egmore upto Gandhi Irwin Bridge there is no space for fourth track. This is indeed a challenging project as in many places Land area gets narrowed. It may take at least Another 6 months. Your dedicated efforts are highly appreciated. All the best.

Yes i too heard about that news. I think to launch steel girder above Subway for 4th line, vehicle traffic has been planned as one way. Let us wait and see what will be the exact plan in upcoming days

Bro - please tell me one thing. Local EMU beach Up and Down 1 line. Gemore to outer Up and Down 2 line. MRTS Up and Down 3 line. Where is the 4th line here? Railway had given a wrong info to public. Actually there were 5 tracks between Beach and Fort. Now they are working on 6th track. For that they had called that 4th line. Actually it is totally wrong. 1 line is = 1 route and the number tracks. ok.

Technically they called as 4 th line as it is exclusively constructed for express line. As there is only one dedicated line available for express track ( called as 3rd line ). So now additionally 4th line construction work in progress so that Express trains have dedicated Up & Down line.
