I have one more question. I have not used these before as I used only canister filters and internal. 2 of my tanks are 5ft x 18in x 30in Height. 125gallons. I dont have place on their sides to keep canisters. If i run 2 of these R1500 (4 trays each) with all the media (bioballs + ceramic rings + burnt red ceramic rings + aqua balls + blue n white sponge) filled in 16 trays (8 top 8 bottom), it will handle the 125g with 12 discus, once a week 80% water change - 2 feeds a day granules and FD bloodworms, yes ? so i can disconnect the canisters and free up space for more tanks ? thanks! :D

Kiran Nayak yes you can.. but .. canisters are more efficient coz.. the medias will be immersed in water.. bacteria colonization is more efficient if the media is immersed in water column.. we can always use tops for less than 3 feet and for more than 3 feet top filter should act as a booster along with any canisters.. In your case if u go for 2 and the tank is bare-bottom with 80 % water change then i thinks its good enough 👍🏻👍🏻

I recently bought a 5 ft tank, I am planning to add Arowana in it. Instead of adding in the first place, I am thinking of adding some hardy fishes in the new tank after the setup to make the tank get set for Arowana. Is this a right approach ? Yes you can try this method.. but the fish you are adding to this tank should be free of infections coz this will pass on to Arowana easily

Bro the filtration system depends on the type of fish and the bio load. Best filtration would be Sump, if not then go for Top. So if you think the bio load is less Top alone is good to go

Since its a 7 feet aquarium i would recommend sump for crystal clear waters.. but due to lack of space just try to increase the length of top filter so u can have enough room for more filter media as a result you can achieve clarity in your tank .. also add some internal filter it would still give u some additional clarity.. Or if you have some space on the sides of the aquarium or somewhere near then place your canisters there and increase the inlet n outlet hose. Not really u need to place them under your tank. Just my suggestion Thanks 👍🏻

Its a 3 feet aquarium and you have a canister which will take care of Filtration pretty much ,so i don't really find any reason for an extra Power head. The purpose of CO2 in planted aquariums is Plants need additional carbon dioxide to thrive. In certain situations, you need to add extra carbon dioxide to aquarium water, that depends on certain type of Plants. CO2 diffusers allow you to bubble this extra carbon dioxide in. So if you have any plants which need extra CO2 or if the plants are densely populated then you can go for a CO2 diffuser. Air pump filter is nothing but a Sponge filter which is connected to Air pump which in produces Oxygen and filtration. These purpose are already met by Canister filter.
