Cher Exclusive: A Mission To Save The Loneliest Elephant | Good Morning Britain

Legendary singer Cher is back in the studio and has almost finished writing her long-awaited memoir. But it’s saving wild animals from captivity that’s her main concern right now. In November 2020, after five years of working on his release through her charity Free the Wild, Cher flew out to Pakistan for the relocation of Asian elephant Kaavan who had been kept in captivity for 35 years, the last 8 in solitude, he became known as ‘the world's loneliest elephant’. He’s now flourishing in a wildlife sanctuary in Cambodia. We’re also joined in the studio by Cher’s Free the Wild co-founder Mark and son Sagan Cowne to tell us about getting the call from Cher to help, and the death threats he received during the five-year battle to free Kaavan. Mark can also talk about his support for a Bill going through Parliament (committee stage in the Lord’s tomorrow 5th September). The Bill would prohibit the sale and advertising of activities abroad which involve low standards of welfare for animals - such as elephant rides and tiger cub selfies.

Cher has always been very CHARITABLE, city with bad water she sent trucks of bottled water all year for residents.she has save other animals. When Katrina hit New Orleans she was there helping. Cher is truly a wonderful person

Please please please don’t ever ride elephants and educate everyone you know about the cruelty of it! These beautiful animals deserve better than living their life in a zoo or being tortured and broken so tourists can ride them. AWESOME of Cher to do this. The sad elephants who live miserable lives in various enclosures or cramped spaces DESERVE SO MUCH BETTER and must be freed to live peacefully in natural preserves where they can explore and live as they were meant to.

What strikes me is that she doesn't have bony and veiny old woman hands. Her hands and neck are just as smooth and "full" as those on a MUCH younger woman. The consistency/thickness of her skin at almost 80 borders on miraculous. Who is the plastic surgeon? WHO?
