@kayleighbyrne51913 жыл бұрын
@@jasminatf Actually, some zoos are beneficial to wild animal populations (for example Marwell and the Hawk Conservancy in the UK). Closing zoos won’t help the populations, particularly with the species that are being poached. Edit: for example, the scimitar-horned oryx was extinct in the wild, but there is now a “world herd,” which consists of different oryx from zoos from all over the world - the oryx were bred in the zoos and then released into the “world herd.”

Yes, especially since elephants have the most simple and compassionate natures, all they ask for is love and kindness and they are full of joy. Elephants do not want to attack anyone but feel they have to if they or any of their fellow phants are threatened, that's what causes most attacks, that and males in musth. Otherwise, if phants are free of threats and treated kindly and lovingly, they truly are compassionate gentle giants. Sanctuaries are the perfect place to find the gentle phants for that reason, and males in musth are taken to a separate enclosure until their musth cycle ends. Male musth attacks in sanctuaries are rare because sanctuary staff are trained to notice the early musth signs in adult males before they enter the aggressive stage, so again, it's basically a garuntee that the phants roaming around the sanctuaries are full of joy and compassion, see how the phants at the Thai sanctuary are also

This was truly a bittersweet story of true love and total compassion between two very different species! I have never been moved the way I have been watching this RESCUE, FRIENDSHIP, DEEP LOVE UNFOLDING WITH TOTAL TRUST AND FAITH AND ACCEPTANCE BETWEEN MAN AND MAJESTIC BEAST. To hear the Dr say it's his FIRST TIME he had formed a bond with an animal FLOORED ME! To know he's a vet and THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME it just blew me away! How can one NOT form a bond with such an intelligent, emotional, deeply feeling on all levels of his psyche that we as humans are just now realizing because we were too ignorant to believe other creatures are just as intelligent. We have barely touched the surface of how intelligent and consciously aware this most noble animal truly is. Thank you for those who aided in the preperation and relocation of such a worthy animal. To know he lived such a horrible existence for so long is heartbreaking. To know that he now lives in a world of love and friendship is so heartfelt and faith restoring to anyone who has lost hope in man's compassion for all beings. You inspire us to be better guardians for all that lives and thrives on planet earth. This is mankind's legacy and it starts with keeping our planet clean ....throwing your trash away, recycling, no pollution. Then we work on the next thing and the next thing to make our planet it's healthiest . If we can't do this for her then she can't do it for us and all other plants and animals living on her! Every animal is worthy and honorable to live their lives filled with compassion and empathy and freedom. No mistreatment, cruelty, or abuse in any way, shape, or form. We STILL HAVE MYCH TO LEARN FROM THEM! If only we weren't to ignorant to know and understand this truth.
