Cher only went on The Tonight Show when there was a guest host, she hated Johnny Carson and refused to do interviews with him. Also the reason why she changed a line in The Witches of Eastwick to say Letterman instead of Carson.

I actually knew this as well. But why did she hate Carson? Was it he who refused to support Joan Rivers having her own show? I vaguely remember the story like that. I'm not American, and it was before my time. I'm just curious if you know that whole story. :)

Cher and Lucille Ball (if I'm not mistaken) were making jokes about Nixon and because Carson couldn't tell Lucille to shut up about it, he kicked Cher out of his house or something. I forgot where Cher talked about this, I think it's in her Vanity Fair interview.

Regarding the question Joan asks Cher about Chastity walking in with a man she wants to marry or live with; Cher knew back then that her teenager daughter Chastity was gay leaning towards transgender.. ...Suzanne got fired from 'Three's Company' as 'Chrissy' in 1981, after her Manager Hubby asked for a SH#TLOAD of cash, and back-end profits, because she 'was' the show...; she was doing Vegas gigs, until she got a syndicated TV show in '84 called "She's The Sheriff", which was SAVAGELY despised by critics....AND, Cher knows the 'behind the scenes' stuff on Suzannes' nasty ego...dig her eyeroll, and 'knowing' look at Joan, at 6:39....
