Wonderful video, as always! A little trick I learned from watching Jackques Pepin: butter your pan, place parchment in the pan, then FLIP THE PARCHMENT OVER. It will pick up the butter & need very little extra.

Hi Stephanie @ Joy Of Baking I could not waste time just thinking of making this Beautiful cake I just went to the kitchen had some tin cherries which are just as nice as the fresh ones cause the fresh cherries here in South Africa are very Expensive and you just five or six cherries in the packet so the cake came out Beautifully and tastes just so Delicious even with tin of Cherries just strain them and just use the Cherries in this Beautiful recipe @ Joy Of Baking and Thank You So Much for the Beautiful Red Heart and Thank You So Much for Enjoying My Messages and Comments @ Joy Of Baking 👍👍♥️♥️

In the UK we have tea cakes that are an enriched dough with dried fruit but no tea. As with coffee cakes; it is served, often toasted, with a cup of tea for elevenses. Or at around 11:00 mid morning.

We also have Bara Brith (Wales) and Tea Brack (Ireland) where fruit is soaked overnight in tea. Lovely for elevenses or with a slice of Cheddar
