Yes, that’s correct. Three tablespoons of crushed freeze dried strawberries weighs 12 grams.

Well done on realising that many countries outside of North America/Canada, in my case southern English coast. Work in grams and Celsius. Makes your recipes more accessible

Because this is a pitted fruit you could add a half or quarter teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg.

Followed to the letter but after adding the chocolate/evaporated milk to the soft peaks and started to whip instead of stiff peaks it reduced to chocolate soup. 😢

The recipe uses condensed milk, not evaporated milk.

@@joyofbaking I miss spoke it was the condensed milk. I may have over beaten or maybe didn’t let the chocolate cool enough. I will try it again and let you know how it goes.

Make sure that the melted chocolate has cooled or it won’t whip properly. You could chill the mixture and then rewhip.

Fantastic cake! I used melted butter because I was out of flavourless oil. Tasted even closer to a pound cake. Made it for guests yesterday. They loved it and finished it all. ❤

Hi Stephanie, I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that this video, 10 years ago, is what turned me on to your website and eventually inspired me to become an amateur/hobby baker. This was the first video I watched of yours in my early 20s and it let me down a rabbit hole on your site. My baking habit has grown over time and has especially increased over the last few years since Covid like so many. I really appreciate the details of your videos and I have learned so much from you! I use your recipes often but also frequently apply your lessons to other recipes that I use. I currently bake bread, cakes, pies, weekly or more often inspired by your detailed lessons. I have joked that I can't eat store bought baked goods anymore because I can do so much better (not actually a joke thanks to you). Thank you so much for all you have done over the years, you are truly a pioneer of the internet and you have inspired many, many bakers over time!

Sorry to trouble youm i really want to bake these awesome cookies of yours, my question is the white sugar is it two thirds cup (135g) or as your recipe stipulates one half cup (100g)?

I know this video is 4 years old but was that a orange you usese is a variety suited for juicing such as a Valencia? I found using oranges like a navel orange in a recipe still taste good and they typically don't have seeds and it doesn't really matter if you strain the pulp out or not in that case.

Unfortunately you need the whipped cream in order for the ice cream to thicken.

Hello first i love your baking videos so much and you make it look so easy if I saw a cake that i would try I check your videos if you bake it or not so i go for it Second i would like to cover the cake with the whipping cream but I don’t want to put the same thing inside the cake i want a different flavor though about cheese frosting but i think it would be overwhelming flavor don’t know what do you think ? Any ideas?

I just like the combination of cake, strawberries, and whipped cream. You could use the frosting that I use on the Red Velvet Cake.

I just copied this from the desktop site: 1 cup (240 ml/grams) whole milk plain yogurt, at room temperature It’s exactly the same on the mobile site I just checked.

@@joyofbaking ok. . actually I don't have an oven so I do all my baking in a big pot by placing a small pot inside it. . placing stones in the bottom and pouring the batter in the smaller pot. .it acts like an oven. .it works for most of the recipes. .but I wanted to try this recipe with that technique
