In this video, my Silverado, aka Señor Rustbucket, gets Cherry Bombed! I'll show you how I installed the 2.5" diameter, 30" Cherry Bomb Glasspack without the use of a welder, and give you a nice sound sample. I just used connector pipes, and exhaust clamps.

I did this on my 89 f150 and I didn't tighten the clamps enough. The cherry bomb fell off when turning a corner and I ran over it

It sounds deeper at idle but when u accelerate it actually sounds more quite but deeper quite maybe I'm wrong but I figured it would sound more aggressive but it also could be that it was idle & u only accelerated lightly not dissing the sound fyi & I already have a 3.5 custom exhaust my car sounds good I just wanted 2 c what a cherry bomb would do to an already custom exhaust & make it sound more aggressive but overall nice work.

Clamps have a chance of loosening over time, or allow exhaust leak, but is removable. Weld is a permanent seal. If done properly there will be no exhaust leak.

I thought about putting Cherry Bomb on my Tahoe(350 small block) I think 5.7 or 5.3? I'm not sure but my question is; Was there an 02 sensor on the old muffler u removed or is that on cat?? Someone at a garage told me i'd have to drill the glasspak & put in that same sensor. I was like wtf?? dude wat u smoking?? I've never heard of that. So then I told him that when I bring in for him to install to also check my signal fluid and fill it/top it off.😆😂😉...

The GlassPack is just FibreGlass that wraps around the Tube where the exhaust passes throughthe Red Stuff is covering it, Its there Just to dampen the noise a little

Just take it to a Muffler shop. I only charge $30 to do the whole job with your muffler welded on. You wasted your money on clamps & couplers & saw blades. Will leak or fall off. Wrong size to start with. Muffler goes over the tubing not on the inside. That's why he cut the slits that will leak. Chevy is 2.75" OD, Muff is 2.5" ID. Wasted money & time on wrong parts. See it & have to fix it all the time. Factory muffler inlet & outlet are offset. That's why the tailpipe had issues.

That installation will leak. You must use a special exhaust paste in the connections that will get hard when heated.

Matthew Singleton thanks man. I don't like the sound of the 8" ones. Too snappy sounding for my taste and too loud. The long 30" has a nice rumble to it that I love. This is the first glasspack I've ever put on a vehicle. I had a flowmaster on a 3rd gen Camaro that sounded sweet.

i bought an 88 crown vic wagon and the whole rear exhaust was rusted out. for a quick fix, I installed the cheapest two mufflers (dual exhaust) i could get while i was waiting for the tail pipes and mufflers i ordered. i was really disappointed. i wanted it to sound like the general lee, instead it was really, really quiet.

just 2 let u know u do not need the rest of the stock muffler on the cherry bomb all u need is the cherry bomb connected 2 the area closet 2 the engine where u cut and all u have 2 do is put and connect the clamps

The Daninator no need to notch anything brother it should all slide together the original pipe would have either slid into the glass pack or over it all you would have needed was 2 clamps should be two an a half od on oe pipe and two an a half I'd in glass pack or vice versa makes for a slightly tighter fit that's less likely to leak That said I respect that your doing things yourself not many people do that anymore
