Cherry Bomb® Glasspack vs. Cherry Bomb® Salute - Sound Comparison - 5.3L Chevy - Which is better?

This video compares the sound of the Cherry Bomb® Glasspack and the Cherry Bomb® Salute mufflers. These mufflers don't look alike, but are both straight through designs. How will the sound compare? Will they sound the similar? Will one sound louder than the other? I do a series of accelerations and decelerations and one long uphill acceleration to record the "drone" sound inside of the cab of the truck and come to a conclusion.

It seems like the Glasspack is louder at idle, but Salute might be deeper? That being said I think the Salute sounds better when the RPMs rise/giving it gas. More tone

And yes glasspack will always be best that or muffler delete. That being said I actually have a knockoff m80 (lawson industries). Incinerator series. Damn good muffler for the sound. Its a round body with chamber

I have a single in dual out Cherry Bomb Salute on my 08 Silverado with a 5.3 with no cats and no tail pipes and it sounds pretty good.

I have Headers 2.25 pipes, salutes one in two out. Like them, quiet to order at the drive thru and then the whole place hears me pull to the window.

I think your a bit off on your preinstall db level. Bigger body muffler will always absorb more of the sound 👍 great vids always coming back for real sound

I have a 08 chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L. An I have a 8 inch body 12 overall length cherry bomb glasspack an it sounds mean. You need to get the small one also. You will like it alot better than the long cherrybomb.

Great vid. It sounds like the cherry bomb salute is much quieter than the glass pack. Do they actually use fiberglass in the salute or is it some other blend? I think these are the same thing as the flowmaster flow fx's right?

I was looking for mufflers that create this sound. The ones that use different packing material like flow fx, magnaflow or the salutes will not do this correct?
