Cherry Cheese Ring
1 package, cream cheese, softened
1/3 c powdered sugar
1 egg
1 1/2tsp vanilla extract
2 pkgs 8 ounce each crescent rolls
1 can cherry pie filling
Glaze
1/2c powdered sugar
One to 2 teaspoons milk or hot water
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine cream cheese, 1/3 cup, powdered sugar, egg, and vanilla beat until smooth.
Unroll the crescent rolls and reserve 4 triangles back for the twist top portion.
Separate the remaining 12 triangles and arrange on a round pizza pan or baking stone with the points toward the center.
Pinch all the seams together and roll the dough into a 14 inch circle
Cut out the center of the dough using a 3 inch circle.
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto the dough
Leaving  a 1/2” from edges
Then top the cream cheese filling with the canned cherry pie filling. Roll the remaining dough into a rectangle and cut into 12 inch strips. Twist the strips and place them on top of the ring. Pinching each end onto the dough.
Bake until golden brown approximately 25 minutes. Cool completely then drizzle with glaze.
