Cherry Sauce | Perfect on Ice Cream, Pancakes, Waffles, Cheesecakes, Yogurt & More

Hi Everyone!
Today we will be making a delicious cherry sauce that is wonderful on anything! It is so easy to make & extremely delicious!
Recipe:
1 package of frozen pitted cherries (600g)
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt

I have a question for cherry. Did you wash them after taking out from the refrigerator? And bring it to the room temperature? Or you directly just put them in the bowl and cook

So how did you come up with (600g) of pitted cherries. Converted from grams it's just over 21 oz. None of the frozen packages in my stores here in Texas shows how many grams are in the package. They just list it in ounces. Most are 12 oz.
