some people don’t understand that , if you aren’t honest with someone , the person doesn’t improve and keeps doing it wrong.
@BreannaMae4 жыл бұрын
Exactly! I remember working with vocal coaches that would get irritated with me. It wasn't out of hate; it was out of caring so deeply about singing correctly. That's how you get better at it. You need to pay your dues and learn the correct ways or fail. Vocal coaches aren't there to be your friend, they are there to help build your vocals up and polish them.

That is the difference when someone just try to hit note and sing and when someone feels every part of the song fights and sing.

Cheryl is amazing at “positive criticism” that guides people to reach their goals. Her students all get this!

She has a very beautiful voice she’s just lacking emotions when she sings.
@Mathis-ht1uq5 жыл бұрын
vierzehn phat the emotions comes after the work, when you are working on technical stuff, you can’t put any emotions being focused on the technic. After working on the song, you can let go those emotions and focus on what you really feel
@vierzehn285 жыл бұрын
Mathis i understand what you mean. it’s just that the way she’s pushing her to sing in a signifant way... particularly singing Christina Aguilera song, u need both technique and emotion. i’m don’t mean it in bad way or whatsoever, i’m just saying i guess, that’s what missing.

She's learning the song. She can't put emotion into something she's still learning, she's concentrating on doing what her coach is telling her.

I see an excellent coach who knows her student's capabilities and learning edge. you can tell by the facial expressions and body language the impact of the coaching on her work. She continues to rise to the challenges that "cattiva" Cheryl pushes her to confront. Even how the student pushes back when she disagrees shows her level of trust and comfort with her coach. Beautiful voice and beautiful coaching. Both of you are bravissime. Cheryl is amazing at creating that sense of safety even though she pushes for student development and mastery.
@Otts2874 жыл бұрын
Girl can sing. But she needs to open her mouth more and let it out. When she gets to the high notes, it's almost like she's sucking in air to make her voice sound bigger. I would prefer listening to vocalists using their own vocal quality. In my opinion, that makes the song sound more personal and beautiful.

Cheryl you are awesome!, I wish every teacher in the world was a little like you!
