I went from struggling at 2,600 to hitting Legend since I switched to this team after watching this video. My typical open UL team just wasn't working anymore. I've never used Chesnaught and have very little experience with Trevenant, but this team works well for me. If I do hit Legend, it's usually on the very last day or two of the season, so I think that shows how powerful this team can be. Thank you!

Caught the end of the stream yesterday and I was so glad I did. I turned two 2-2 sets into 3-2 sets today because I saw the Aurorus on the lead with Venusaur and predicted that it was your team. I probably would have lost if I didn't see it coming, but using Venu and Walrus to get both shields from the Aurorus and then sweep with the Duck Knight worked because I knew the team beforehand - both players tried too hard to preserve an Aurorus that only really did well against Venusaur

I guess you don't see many Charizards. I was running a very similar team. Trevanent Chesnaut same movesets, and for my closer was switching between my #12 ranked extremely TANKY metagross running (i think it's bullet punch idk the steel fast move) Meteor Mash and Psychic OR my #7 ranked also VERY TANKY Mamoswine, running Powder Snow, Avalanche, and Stone Edge. And it did really good unless there was a Charizard and then it would just DESTROY ME. And I'm pretty sure Charizards would WRECK THAT TEAM. Just wanted to point that out to anyone watching this that doesn't already have a chesnaught built up. If you're seeing a lot of Charizards be wary it could breakyour team pretty easily. Blast burn OR DRAGON CLAW handles Trevanent, wing attack will farm down chesnaught pretty good. And anything that's Rock/Ice arourus, Mamoswine, etc will be double weak to fire pokémon and I see A LOT of Charizards.

Smack down is used for a trap strategy in which you make charizards or talonflames switch into it midgame

Trevanent is NOT a safe switch. If they send in a Pidgeot, your whole match is shot.

If there's a pidgeot in back I need to bait it out, so trev is effective in that regard. If they have double flier, I lose. But if it's a sole flier, baiting it out sets up ches to sweep :)
