This game takes that frustration of not remembering the rules of chess, and dialing it to 11

About Rule 28. When 2 towers are together they form a castle, so that new piece can only be moved when there are 3 or more towers on the board.

@@KGelloit is impossible to promote pieces, so the number of towers can never be more than 2.

How does it factor into it when the tower eats a piece? Or two? Or more? Does that affect the game, and particularly the castle conundrum?

Words cannot describe how much I hate this game because it has dumb rules that only benefit the troll. You can do everything right, but oops, you jumped over your own piece when he can do that all the time. Also, it's an instant kill for you the second he is able to cheat, but not for him. I haven't even gotten to the more wacky stuff myself because of these unfair double standards.
@loveisinportant55707 ай бұрын
There is an attempt at subversion of expectations here, but it looks like it's frustrating to play given that you rely on chess rules only to get thwarted repeatedly by made up and obscured rules that you have no way of knowing, so you just get stomped. The game tells you immediately to call out cheating, but how are you supposed to know what's cheating and what isn't when the rules are arbitrary.

Honestly, this is the only game I’ve watched on this channel I genuinely thought was bad. Watching people play chess is bad enough, watching someone play chess to a bunch of made up rules you only discover as you get beaten… … it was like a commentary on Roguelikes
