They are eternal rivals but at the end, only they can understand each other. I am not shippinh engines btw, ı am just stating the fact their legendary fight above the chess board is reminiscing sherlock and moriarty's legendary fight. Wow this is outstanding. The pis with two minor pieces less was already calculated when bishop went to h2,. But at move 31 I don't understand. The move is calculated 3 pawns worse the Kd3 from st 13

Leela’s 31.Kxe5 was a "blunder" "??" or in human terms a serious mistake "?" because after 31…Re8+ 32.Kd6 Qf5 33.Be2 Stockfish had multiple wins including 33…Qe6+ as played or 33…Rd8+ also winning Leela’s queen on c1 by forcing its king to the c-file and playing …Rc8+. Apparently only after 32…Qf5 did Leela realize that it couldn’t save its queen with a human move like 33.Nd4 because of mate after e.g. 33…Qe5+ 34.Kc6 Rc8+ 35.Kb7 Qc7+ 36.Kxa6 Ra8+ 37.Kb5 Qa5+ 38.Kc6 Rc8+ when 39.Kd7 or 39.Kd5 would have gotten mated on the following move and 39.Kb7 would have gotten mated in two after 39…Rc7+ 40.Kb8 Qa7#. With the correct 31.Kd3 the position would have remained unclear with play possibly continuing e.g. 31…e4+ 32.Kd4 exf3+ 33.e4 Rc8 34.Rb7 Rd8 35.Kc3 etc. with a wild and crazy position in which Leela would have had an extra bishop for three extra pawns. In that position Stockfish’s dangerous passed f3-pawn and its passed g7 and h5 pawns would have posed a long term danger but Leela’s extra piece would have been dangerous for Stockfish too. I think most strong humans would prefer Black in that position but the computer evaluation must be considered unclear. This in my opinion is despite what James Canty says at 9:30 - 9:52 where he asserts that 31.Kd3 is also losing for Leela. If Canty is correct then what did Leela do wrong?

@@ourtube5191 you are telling it on the basis of elo rating. I know Leela even Komodo's rating is more than alpha right now but remember, Alpha is a program that learns and learns with time. And it uses super computer power. It took him just 4 hours to learn more chess than anything.

@@fryzollis if leela runs on the same hardware it would be stronger than alpha0. Alpha0 literally ran on thousands of dollars worth of google equipment. If leela was given the same she would be better and if you choose to low ball her, she would be in worst case about even with alpha0. Hardware is an often overlooked topic when discussing alpha0, plus training it longer than 4 hours was diminishing returns. After 4 hours it had already known all it thought there was to know running it any longer would have just wasted resources.
