I am here because I never saw this gambit in my life and I was completely destroyed despite being a decently strong player who won many tournaments. Thanks for the info in case I run into this again.

Thanks for these videos. When do you plan on uploading a lecture on "how to use the bishop pair"? Would love to watch that one. You keep mentioning in your videos how much of an advantage it is, which l've read in many books - but would really appreciate seeing a little more in depth instruction on this topic.

There is a great example in Chernev's book on 60 instructive endgames, where Chernev discusses a beautiful endgame win of Capablanca based purely on the B-pair. Really clear.

Your knight will be trapped, so it will be two pieces for a rook and pawn, not good.

jmatthew Thanks a lot and I will certainly do bishop pair advantage and how to take advantage of it, but at the moment focus is on different openings and at some point we will switch to middlegame parts! Thanks for watching!

Great job! But il seems that 3...Qe7 is the most playable line and after 4.d4 f6 5.Nd3 Qxe4 6 Be2 instead of 6...Qxg2 That you give Black can play 6...Qxd4!? with some difficult position to asset after maybe 7.Be3 or 0-0. What do you think? Thanks a lot for this video!
@MiodragPerunovicOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Thanks on question Djaffer! 6...Qd4 brings nothing good to black, since after Nc3, 0-0 and Be3 white has amazing initiative and way better developement!
@djaffersalim17504 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the answer Miodrag ! It seems thant that the Black can get some pratical chance of playable game After 5....Qxe4 6.Be2 by 6... Bd6 Nc3 (6.0-0 Qxd4 works maybe a little) Qxg2 7.Bf3 Qh3 8.Nxd5 Nc6 or 6.Be3 Bg4 or c6 with some level game finally...
@MiodragPerunovicOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Hey Djafer! The game cant be equal at all in that line after 7. Bf3 Qh3 8. Nd5 Nc6 since White has 9. N3f4 and full initiative, Black has exposed Queen, weak light squares and is seriously behind in development!
@djaffersalim17504 жыл бұрын
@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial yes! And after 9.Nd5 Qe6 10.Kd2! the Withe get the plus but maybe with some chances for Black to make the things unclear like a really Elefant gambitter look for and sometimes succeed to get!

@@MiodragPerunovicOfficial I understand that too, my commentary was ironic. It's a horrible Americanisation to refer to the opponent as "they". It should be avoided at all costs. Much better to just say Black or White, in the singular.

Fault: you are not showing the possibilities visually, but you are speaking about them /the situation by the beginning of the video/. For somebody who doesn´t know well English - disadvantage. Better than you is for example GJ /chess/.
